Thanks everyone! Pp I hate for him to wear shoes in his bed, but he insists he wears them. He throws a major fit when I try to talk him out of wearing them. I was freaking out because this is so abrupt ?

Totally normal, my kids have asked but we don't wear shoes in our house and certainly don't wear shoes in bed, so it never reached that point since the answer was no.

My daughter is obsessed with her "chanclas"and her boots! I pick my battles and since it's hot as hell right now she can wear the chanclas all she wants!

My DD is 20 months. She is obsessed with wearing hats, shoes and socks. She will walk around the house for hours in 5 socks (2 on one foot and 3 on the other) with a Mr. Potato Head bucket on her head lol.
