Would you

leave your sleeping 2-3 year old home alone for 15-20 minutes to drop off your other child to a friend who then takes them to school? Once a week?

So I can call CPS and they will be there right away? I've never had to do this before.

This child has been known to get into medicine bottles and eat all the pills inside, too. There's just no telling what could go wrong in that 15-20 minutes ?

Call the cops tell them when she does it and call CPS. I'm not sure but If CPS investigates first they might not wait for her to actually do it but just confront her with it. Then of course she can lie.

I would call the cops first OR go close to her house around the time she leaves then pull into her drive when she leaves then call the cops. That way she can't lie about taking him with her and at the very least you will be close if (God forbid) something does happen.

@0912 very real ?

Uhm no.

Just no Sept

If she wasn't concerned about the child why the hell would she care what the mom is doing.

Depending on the state I'm pretty sure it's illegal to leave a child under the age of 12 or 13 home alone you have to be on the property and if they catch her they will take the kid that day and put in temporary care or the other parents care and cps will open a case

Is this for real? No way

No way in hell. I get nervous leaving my daughter upstairs sleeping while I'm in the basement doing laundry.

Obviously you are concerned about the child. Why else would you ask?

My SO is trying to take her to court because she has been abusing her pain-killers and then driving with her children in the car. My step-son has been absent 25+ times and absent 9+ times in her custody alone. She has been going downhill very fast and now we have found this out. I don't agree with it, so yes I would like to call and have her get caught doing this.

Maybe it was my wording, but I'm not just worried about what is going to benefit me ?

My son is 4 and wakes up looking for me. Not only could a toddler get into a mess of trouble in 15 minutes, he would probably be terrified if he woke up and no one was home.

Absolutely not

I cannot believe she would do that. God forbid her house caught on fire or something else happened during that time.

Sept, that comment really pissed me off. I can't believe you would even assume that ?

I agree call CPS and the police. Ask the police do a welfare check. Tell them what time it will happen maybe they could be waiting for her.

Sept, how do you know what I'm concerned about?!

I'm concerned about a lot of things she does. If I didn't care, I wouldn't even ask ? I just found out that she has been doing this.

It's crappy she does that, but you're not worried about the kid. You are concerned about how this benefits you..that's sad.

I would call CPS! That's ridiculous, so much could go wrong in such a short amount of time ? I won't even leave my DDs asleep in the house when I drive .5 miles down our driveway to check the mail lol

Just call them on Tuesday during that time frame. Hopefully that does that. I mean the cops or CPs.

Definitely not me. My step-sons bio mom has been doing this and I don't know what to do to get her caught. She does it every Tuesday. I know because her friend and I talk, and she told me step-sons bio mom does this because she doesn't want to wake her almost 3 year old up.

This would help us in court amongst all the other very irresponsible things she's been doing. Any advice?

I'm pretty sure she's not asking for herself ? she knows bb better then that.

She's probably talking about a friend that does this

This is like the leaving your child in a car post.

I mean really? Who does that. I wouldn't leave a child that could possibly wake up home alone.

Eta: I'm sure your not actually considering this lol.

Vintage I hope you were not thinking this. You're smarter then this.

Stupid glitch.

No. Absolutely not. Anything can happen in that time frame.
