I let them figure it out all on there own. Even though my oldest 2 know he isn't real they will still play along for their sister who is 3.

My ds is 3 & we never told him about Santa. I mean he knows about Santa but we celebrate Christmas as a family he's never been the kid to believe Santa brought him presents. Grateful for that he knows mommy & daddy work hard to make it special & my baby is smart & extremely grateful.

This goes for Easter bunny, Disney princesses at Disney world, Santa, ect.

For holidays we keep the religious aspects as the number one thing. We talk of Jesus on Christmas and Easter.

My 8 year old asked me cuz some girls in her school were saying Santa wasn't real so I told her....I felt bad for them, everybody has to believe in the magic of Christmas , that's how Santa is created by believing in the magic that Christmas brings us ... I never told her Santa wasn't real nor I told her that he existed.... Only if she believes in Christmas Magic then she would receive presents .... She buys it!!!

You don't believe you don't receive. And Santa only brings them 1-2 gifts. Santa doesn't buy all gifts. Because my kids know there are others who don't get much of anything for Xmas. So I can't explain why Santa brought them tons of things. So we stick to simple stuff from Santa!

We have always been honest with our kids. They have never believed in Santa, the Easter bunny, tooth fairy etc. We concentrate on the true Christian meaning of the holidays and leave out the commercialism. There is a cute veggie tales movie about who St Nicolas was and my kids know that is who Santa was based after. In saying that, I don't necessarily think it's wrong to do Santa, we just choose not to. Our kids also know that most kids believe that stuff is real and that they aren't supposed to tell other kids any different

No need to tell them they not real if you don't create the perspective of them being real in the first place. My parents never told us these things were real or not and we never got gifts at Christmas saying love Santa. They always said love mom and dad.
