I JUST WANNA KNOW

Was your labor worse or better than you thought it would be? I have no idea what to expect, I'm trying to stay as positive as possible. Also, if you have a funny experience feel free to make me laugh ;)

Worse.

Better. I wasn't expecting sitting there for over 12 hours pain free.

Better

I was expecting the worst pain of my life like everyone said with contractions. Maybe I was just lucky but it was just like really horrible period cramps. I was very vocal though ? lol I think that helped.

2nd way worse!

My first was long, second was a breeze, third was rough because she came out facing up, fourth was pretty good, 5,6,7 were sections and this one will be too.

Better/worse. Lol. More worse than better.

Worse: I was induced at 36 weeks because of preeclampsia. The night before the induction I was pretty much a wreck because of worry. They gave me cervidal(sp) and said to just go to sleep and I would get the pitocin in the morning. After a few hours the nurse came in and tried to give me a sleeping pill (can't remember what it was) I refused, but she tried a couple more times and told me it would be better to take it and and get some sleep because I could be up for a long time once labor starts. So, I caved and took the pill. Around 2-3am. It was strong and knocked me completely out.

Fast forward to 7am, contractions start on their own, water breaks by 7:30, daughter was born at 8:04. I was literally still half asleep through everything, I had such a hard time focusing. It was chaos and I have some memory loss from the entire day because of the freaking sleeping pill I took. I regret it so much! No matter what situation I'm in I will probably never get near sleeping medication again in my life.

Better: Labor was very short, not as painful as I thought, and even though I ripped a little the healing process wasn't as bad as I was expecting.

Worse for my first. .I was induced at 35 weeks and was unprepared. .and I thought if women were doing it for ever it couldn't b that bad..boy!! Was I wrong. .my labour was only 3 hour 15 mins but it felt like a lifetime. .but when I held my boy in my arms I didn't forget d pain like everyone says you do ,but I thought every bit was worth it ..2nd time labour lasted 1.5 hours..I was prepared, it hurt but nothing unbearable. .curious how 3rd time goes..

Better. I had a natural labor and delivery and it was much less painful than I'd anticipated. I was more surprised how crappy I felt afterwards.

Waaaaay worse. It was so much more painful than I had anticipated. Worst pain of my life, I honestly thought to myself how can someone be in so much pain and not die.

Honestly...worse.

#1 super long, more painful than I imagined and then ended with an emergency c-section. Oh and like a PP I threw up a lot because of painful contractions. My SO asked why I was throwing up and the nurse said sometimes the pain is so much it makes people throw up. He was like " s*** " lol.

#2 better than #1 but at the end of it I had to have my 2nd emergency c-section because it was lasting too long and my scar from the prior section was at risk of rupturing.

No matter what remember it is only a period of time, even though mine were worse than I had thought, I'm having my 3rd baby in under 3years so clearly wasn't the end of the world lol.

I watched my sil give birth. Like I watched my niece come into the world. Looked super painful so I'm a tidbit scared lol. I will not be wanting a mirror. I don't ever want to see that again.

Mine was way better than I thought it would be. Far less painful than I imagined.

1st time was not as bad as I expected, not very painful.

2nd time was very fast and very painful.. No more babies for me lol.

Better. My labor was quicker than I expected (15 hours)

The contractions weren't as bad as I was expecting but back labor was f*cking terrible. I think that really distracted me from the contractions though. I had no epidural as planned. But after they broke my water I thought about it for sure. I did get something which I don't know what it was but it really took the edge off. I could still feel the contractions, they were awful at that point but my body was completely relaxed.

First wasn't too bad compared to my second

My second was terrifying. Only because I didn't expect to go all natural. I was scared to death. I seriously thought I was going to faint.

Worse. But I had to have pitocin. My water broke and I wasn't contracting strong enough. And then the nurses thought I wasn't in enough pain after only being hooked up for a little while. So they cranked it up.

I also puked. Hubby didn't know that could happen. He was terrified.

I made it without drugs or epi though. Hoping for a better experience this time around.

Pushing was so much easier than laboring though.

First time, worse than I imagined (but I was induced at just over 36 weeks for health reasons so my body was not ready)

Second time, was a breeze!

Also, I was terrified of the actual delivery but I found that easier than labor! Your body just takes over and you go with it! It was nice to finally not be waiting around! It was go time and I was relieved for it!

It was so much better than I thought it'd be.

It was such a breeze and just wonderful.

I also didn't poop. ?

deleted-user

It was better than i thought it would be. It was awful when i was having contractions but after i got the epidural it was heaven besides me almost passing out from my blood pressure dropping and throwing up when i was pushing:/.

So much better! Labor was a breeze! Didn't feel my contractions, I dilated quickly, and before I knew it my handsome man was here!

All natural!

Side note: I did feel his head, lord did I feel his head and shoulders. I let out a nice scream.

Better than I expected actually. I also didn't poop during delivery. Well my husband said I didn't, but he might be lying or didn't notice. Haha.

Mine was wayyyyyyyy worse than I thought it would be ? the contractions were unbearable! I threw up every contraction (which was every 2-3 mins) because the pain was soo horrendous! But after I got the epidural I was fine :) lol but I don't know anyone else who had the problem of throwing up excessively because contractions were so intense, so I'm sure you will be fine. And I know a lot of people who said it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be. The after birth is what sucks :( especially if you tear.

First time it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, especially with being induced.

Second time, it was fast. But not off putting.

Third time? Absolutely horrendous! Worst experience ever and I WILL NOT be doing that ever again lol

Worse only in the sense that I had a epidural and although I didn't feel my contractions anymore I still felt everything else.

Funny story when they checked my dilation I farted on the nurses hand and my nurse put the catheter in the wrong hole. Wonderful huh? Lol also when they put DD on my chest she pooped on me first thing!

Since everyone is telling me to.. Here it is.. Well on mom life you stated your procedure was for a hole in your stomach.. But on instagram you "kicked cancers ass" and basically had throat cancer?.. I don't like liars!! Why lie?! I lost the people i loved most to cancer! That's not something to fucking joke about! I lost all respect for you! And if you really do have cancer why lie on mom life saying it was for a hole in your stomach?it just makes no sense to me!
