Miscarried
Hi ladies. I'm currently waiting on miscarrying. We found out a week and a half ago. I had a tough 8-9 weeks of pregnancy and I hate that I didn't realize it when I started feeling good with more energy. I took it really hard at first. I felt like I was around physically, but not mentally. I've been doing much better but the sadness comes randomly. Have any of you been through this? How long did it take to pass? What's the D&C like? Do you have to take the medicine up the rectum (my doc mentioned this)? I think it made this a million times harder because a week before we found out, we saw the heartbeat. We are also worried bc the cyst that forms to help the baby survive was larger than it should've been. I've never had issues with cysts and whatnot. Ugh I have tons of questions and I'm worried about when it'll happen. I don't want to wait weeks and weeks though, it's already almost 2 weeks since my baby's heart stopped. I feel like this topic is taboo and many people keep hushed about it, but I feel like I need advice, words of wisdom, and experiences to help cope.

I had one miscarriage passed a few hours after I started bleeding ,
Then I had a missed miscarriage I thought it would pass on its own but I was wrong 2 weeks after I found out there was no heart beat I started bleeding and was in sooo much pain, the bleeding was full on I was soaking a pad in under 15 mins, the ambulance came and got me out of the shower and took me to hospital I lost a lot of blood and still ended up needing a d&c.
So just be careful sorry for your loss ?

I haven't personally been through this but my cousin went through a loss at 9-10 weeks and also had to have a d&c. She had/has a difficult time coping and as far as the physical process she did say it was very painful, although I'm not entirely sure which part she was referring too. I'm so very sorry you are going through this! Try to be prepared where you can be and just allow yourself to deal with the emotional and spiritual side of things as you need to. Hugs!

So sorry for your loss. ?
I've had 3 miscarriages but haven't had a d&c so I'm not sure about that. With my first miscarriage, I was 13 weeks and started spotting. Went to the emergency room and the told me there was no heartbeat and that the baby measured 9 weeks. Two days before my scheduled d&c, I started cramping terribly. I went to the restroom thinking I needed to #2. I started to push and that's when the baby passed. My second two miscarriages were around 6 weeks. They both started out as a little spotting. The spotting progressed over the next few days and then I started to pass blood clots and a ton of blood.
Whether you have the d&c or pass the baby on your own, there will probably be some physical pain. Tons of emotional pain. Just know you're not alone. ? There's a group here for miscarriage and grief btw. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm so sorry, honey. It's one of the worst feelings in the world.
I personally didn't go with a d&c because I was afraid of the damage it could cause (scar tissue). Because I had a missed miscarriage we went through the cytotec route although it doesn't go up the rectum so I'm not sure what your doc was on about.
I honestly preferred it that way because I was able to pass at home with my husband by my side.
I really am sorry for you loss. Pm me if you need someone to talk to, okay?

Thanks ladies. In some twisted way, knowing that other women have gone through this helps me deal with it a little better, which is really messed up because no woman should have to endure this emotional and physical experience. I was having a difficult time thinking about it last night but my bff came over and we just talked for a few hours. She has no idea how I was feeling but she really did help me pull through. I have an appt Thursday to decide what to do next. I worry because I'm a teacher and I don't want it happening while I'm teaching a lesson. I also don't want a d&c because I fear of scar tissue too. I'm also extremely scared to try again because I don't want to have to go through this again. I'm sorry to the women to had to go through this and to the ones who have lived this situation many times ?.

Allow yourself to mourn. I remember feeling like I had to act strong. Like I was silly for being so upset. It's a major loss. Lean on your loved ones ❤️ I'm so sorry for your loss

I had a missed miscarriage as well. Baby was 9 weeks. I decided to wait and let it happen naturally. After a month of nothing happening I had a DNC. It went well and I had very little to no pain. I'm currently 14 weeks pregnant and the baby is doing great. It's a very hard choice to make. I understand the fear of trying again but please don't give up hope. I know there's nothing that can take the pain away of losing your baby but you're not alone. Unfortunately miscarriages are very common and you're right, we don't open up about it enough. You can have a healthy happy baby when you're ready. Praying for you!

The same thing happened to me ? in June I was 8 weeks along and I started to barely spot in my underwear. I made an emergency ultrasound, heard the heartbeat/got a picture, they told me to rest and I might be fine but as soon as I got home I really bled and I knew it was over. I didn't a natural miscarriage (only because i felt weird about doing it any other way.). It was scary and I didn't leave my bed for a few days. My emotions were all over the place between anger and heartbreak then hopelessness...I felt like my SO wasn't as sad as I was and my hormones had me angry at him. It's definitely hard...I only bled for two weeks, I didn't see the sac like everyone said I would but definitely large clots...it does get better. I thought about the loss almost every day for the whole month...every few days the next month and so on. We are going to try again next month now that I feel like I am in a better place. I'm so sorry for your loss and it hurts and its going to hurt. Don't let anyone tell you how to feel or how to grieve your loss. Because it was your baby...you loved it the moment you knew you had them inside you. Sorry for the long message...

I went through this at 16. I was so stressed out about telling my mom I was pregnant that I lost the baby at 8weeks 3 days. I went to my dr appointment and there was no heart beat. My dr said he was going to try and let me pass the baby naturally before he ordered a D&C. Two weeks passed by and nothing had happened so they scheduled it and the night before my appointment i miscarried in my bathtub, alone. I was asleep in bed, started getting really bd cramps then all of a sedden i felt a pop and huge gush of blood came from between my legs. Ran to the restroom and stayed in the bath tub for 3 hours bleeding, all of a sudden i felt the urge to push and passed my baby. It was VERY hard, especially when no one knew i was pregnant so i did it all alone and never went to the hospital. I know your exact feelings right now and I am so sorry you are going through this. I wouldn't wish something like this on my worst enemy, if you ever need an ear you can message me. Just want you to know that there is light at the end of the tunnel, stay strong.

It's amazing how you women are so willing to give me thorough insight and relive your pain by giving me advice. Thank you all so much! I'm 29, I couldn't imagine going through this at 16. It's a traumatic experience, but especially when you had to face it alone. Those of you who had to get a d&c, was there no scarring?
