Had my first at 9 weeks and have an NT scan on Monday at 11 weeks.

8 weeks

I got pregnant 2 weeks after a miscarriage and we didn't know for quite some time.. when I finally went to see what was up I had an ultrasound and was 12 weeks

5-6 weeks isn't typical, but every doctor is different.

With DS I didn't have an ultrasound until I was 14 weeks, with this pregnancy I got one at 9 weeks with a different doctor.

I got a scan at 7 weeks because I had a mirena pregnancy and we had no idea how far along I was. My OB normally doesn't do them until 10-12 weeks for a healthy pregnancy.

6 weeks but thats because we didnt know how far along I was

I've never had one before 9 weeks. Any appointment before 8-9 weeks has just been with the nurse practitioner to go over medical history and basic pregnancy info.

This time I delayed my first appt. a bit. Tomorrow I go in for the first time at app. 13 weeks and 2 days. So, I'm excited to see a bigger baby on the ultrasound pictures!

I honestly didn't know because I had a miscarriage and got pregnant before my next period. I went today and the doctor said the baby measured about 8 weeks. I would prefer waiting until 10 weeks because you can see more then.

How far along were you (or are you going to be) for your first ultrasound?

My son was 5-6 weeks for our first ultrasound but now with this baby my doctor is having us wait until 9-10 weeks. Is this normal? SO was bummed because he has seen others post ultrasounds way earlier and to be honest, the reality of me being pregnant hasn't hit either of us.
