Dodge Darts are s***
Here I am, stranded in the middle of nowhere at my grandmas and my car won't start! Dealership says it's out of warranty and my car insurance says it won't cover rentals unless I'm in a car accident. Full coverage State Farm is s*** apparently.

I've tried different brands
Mercedes
Range Rover
Multiple GMC's
Now driving an BMW X3
Recently test drive the Volvo XC 90 and love it.... it's like a high end soccer mom car
Most likely will be my next purchase
But depending on how many kids you have, I'd chose another GMC Denali
I only have one at the moment so the X3 works for me
Happy shopping and sorry you're stranded
Also I have Progressive for auto coverage and it's pretty reliable

That sucks you bought it brand new and the warranty is already up?

I'd recommend a honda or a Toyota

We love our Subaru

You should bring it to the car shop and see what's wrong with it? Could be something simple
deleted-user·
Well at least you're at your grandmas and not literally stranded in the middle of nowhere ?
Seriously though, Subarus or Toyotas are good.
Don't most new vehicles have 100,000 mile warranty?

I have a Jeep Wrangler and it's my baby. I've never loved another car more. I would definitely recommend it based on comfort and how enormous the trunk is! Plus it's so fun to drive.
I wouldn't buy another dodge or Volkswagen ever again based on my/my family's experiences with them. Too expensive to repair/too many repairs.

I love Honda. My last car was a Honda. My current car is a Honda. My next car will be a Honda.
Also, no car insurance covers vehicle breakdowns. It's for accidents. It doesn't matter who the company is. A rental in this situation isn't covered.
Good luck op.

Following. We are looking for a new car (probably a van) as well. We have a Chevy equinox and it's ?. This is the "nicest" car I've ever had and it's caused the most problems. We only had it two years and had to drop almost 5K for a new motor, then not even 6 months later another $500 for a new BCM. This car has been so stressful, I'm sorry OP, I couldn't even imagine having troubles with a newer car mine is 6 years old and I'm mad we have problems.

I didn't have problems with any of my past vehicles and I have had Chevy, Toyota, and Volkswagen. I now have a dodge and I don't have issues but our friend who works at the dealer said darts have a lot of issues. My moms bestfriend has had her Volvo SUV for a few years and she said it's better than her Cadillac and Mercedes. I also recommend BMW because I don't remember issues with it growing up

I'm suprised you don't like you're equinox Pp!
We have an 08 equinox and it's been great, only regular maintenance needed so far, nothing big or expensive.
We also have a grand caravan that we love, though we've only had it a few months.

So you want to get rid of the car but you dont even know whats wrong with it?

Thank you all for your kind responses! I finally found a spot with one dot of 3G service lol.
Road side service came and jump started my car. Luckily it started and I even drove 45 mins to take my grandma and mom out to eat and grocery shop at Walmart for a few much needed items and it started each time.
But now my backup camera and uconnect are acting up. My camera has all kinds of likes with no visibility and at one point turned into a bright green screen. The uconnect was freezing and I almost didn't have ac on our way home.
All of this on top of my car having issues that the dealership said they could not figure out because "the error indicator did not turn on for them." Which is a bunch of BS and happened within the last year. We've researched issues with this car and the battery and electrical issues are prevalent with them. Some people are unlucky enough for the issues to begin at less than 10K miles, but I feel as if I am even more unlucky as the warranty does not cover past 3 years or 36K miles. My power train warranty is good for up to 60K miles but it covers NO electrical issues, which is a big deal because this car has a lot of electrical components. I better hit post before I lose service again! Once again, thank you all for your feedback!

I had a Honda for 8 years and it was 2vor 3 years old when I got it. Only got rid of it to get something bigger

I have a Toyota RAV4. Love it

The best car I ever owned cost me $500. It was a used KCar, and it had over 400,000km on it when I sold it for $500. It was the ugliest thing imaginable, but it was built like a brick sh*thouse! I wish they still made vehicles like that, and I regret selling it.

I have never owned a dart but we are a 100% dodge/Chrysler family. If I have a choice I will never drive anything else. I have a Journey and I LOVE IT! Never have any issues. We had a charger prior and again LOVES IT but needed more seats but will by buying another charger with in a year we hope. Dodge is the only brand that has never given us a crap load of problems. And if we did have any issues it was so minor.

We have a 2017 Chevy Equinox that we use to haul the kids around. We have never had issues with an Chevy that we've owned.
And we also have a 2008 Honda Civic. I love that little thing and it is fun to drive. You can't even tell it is almost 10 yrs old.

My family lived by pontiacs. My SO, MIL, and I all had a Grand Prix. Too bad they don't make them anymore? my 05 Grand Prix gtp have 160k on it and still running strong. I hate to get rid of it but we are outgrowing it
Now we all have either chevys or gmcs. My FIL had his chevy truck for 15 years before he decided to get a new chevy. We've never had a problem out of those two.
My cousins only drive Subaru and they love them but they need more room also so they are going with something else
