I love the whole atmosphere in my home in ramadhaan.
It's so peaceful and tranquil.
This year I'm unable to break fast at my families, as my little baby is asleep by 7pm and fast here doesn't open til 9:45pm.
That means just me and hubby, but tbh it's just perfect ?
I especially love the blessings and reward that this month brings, but it's over before we know it ?
I pray I get to see in next years ramadhaan xx
Yesss I do!! I love going over family to eat and inviting them to eat at ours. The main beauty is sharing breaking your fast with your loved ones. The streets in our community are alive at night too. Carrot juice stands become popular on every corner lol and bakeries stay open till dawn?Going to the mosque at night to pray as a big group. My in laws decorate their house with nice lights shaped as stars and the crescent moon. Looks so pretty! I love Ramadan!
Im breastfeeding so ive chosen not to fast. With such long hours, i feel like it would harm my supply. My son turns four months old tomorrow. He's way to young for me to wean him. He doesnt accept the bottle, and wont go anywhere near formula.
He also has a dairy allergy, so he can't even have regular formula. He'd have to have nutramigen and that stuff is just nasty. Im on a dairy free diet too..
Yes this is how I'm taking it, if I feel ok and up to it I fast. If I have any days where I feel it's too much and it's causing harm to me or my baby I will for sure break my fast, this is also the advice my dr has given me...we aren't to put ourselves through any extreme hardship but alhamdullah so far it's been ok and I've managed to eat enough at suhoor to sustain me.
@panzersmom, the same ruling would apply for a pregnant and breastfeeding mother. If it will harm her or her baby, she isn't to fast and it is disliked if she does because it would harm her or the baby. If she fears it will harm her baby, then she isn't to fast either.
If she is able to and it won't harm her or her baby, then she is to fast. Some women are stronger and more healthy than others. Some of my family members in pregnancy, don't fast and some do and all have had healthy children Alhamdulillah :) When it's my time and I happen to be pregnant in Ramadan, I'd see how I am health wise and the baby and what my Dr would say about me fasting.
