Pfft! A sip of soda or heck three sips is not child abuse! Goodness.

I have to watch my SO at resturants because if I don't hand my son water, he sneaks him soda. He's 10 months old. Do I like it? No. Does it anger me? Nah, I just get him his water.

My son is 4 and I still don't give him soda that's just something I feel children shouldn't have

Meh as long as she isnt giving it to mine I wouldn't think much about it. I've seen people give their kids worse.

I had a family member watching my daughter 5 & 1/2 months at the time while I ran to do some errands. I came back to pick her up my daughter was screaming crying, which is odd bc she hardly EVER cried. I go over to her, her bottle is beside her & her bottle is filled up to 10 oz with freaking COCA COLA!! I about lost my mind.

Ugh. My moms friend would give her daughter soda in her bottle and all four of her top front teeth were rotted out and she was missing all those teeth for years and finally she had to get fake implants placed there because she was in like 4th grade with no teeth. It's super horrible but my mom said she would do it when her daughter cried and what not so giving her soda would make her quit crying and bothering her

I saw it was bubbly brown soda .... at first I was like no, not possible no one could do that. Then my husband was like no look the batch has brown soda in the cup ....

Yeah that's so WRONG!!!! I wouldn't even consider giving any to my 4y/o let alone a baby.

Maybe it was water? Could you see into the cup? Maybe it was milk and she was letting her little one join in the eating out fun. Some kids like straws at that age.

And that's the poor kid that has all silver teeth.

My cousin used to give his baby Dr. pepper in her bottle my mother freaked out on him and his reasoning was that if it's ok for him it's ok for his baby ? needless to say by the time her teeth came in they were all rotten and had to have silver caps on all of them.

That's terrible.

People do things regardless of whether or not they should, unfortunately.

Common sense is hard to come by.
