Unless you are already in labor dilation and effacement doesnt mean that much.

So many woman are dilated and effaced that much from 36 week to 42. Sometimes someone isn't dilated at all and then can give birth at 38 weeks. You can never tell by dilation and effacement. I hope your baby stays in till at least 39 weeks though!

My son was born at 36 weeks, he weighed 7lbs 3 oz,they did every test under the sun to make sure they weren't anything wrong with him. My son has a cousin, That was born 2 days after him and his mom carried him a fool forty weeks, they pretty much hit milestones at the same time, my son pretty much did everything earlier though.

I was dilated one centimeter at 34 weeks ( I went into pre term labor). They were able to stop my contractions and I ended up giving birth at 39 weeks. I also sat at 4 centimeters for 2 weeks.

I was 1cm with dd1 at 36 weeks, didn't give birth until 40+2. You have a 50/50 chance honestly. Either you will have an early baby or you wont, but I really hope you make it to 40 weeks.

So when is full term really then ? 39?

39 weeks is full term! :)

Yup, 39+0 - 40+6 is full term according to ACOG. ? I wouldn't worry too much cuz you can be dilated for a month...without active contractions it doesn't really mean anything!! You are getting closer though!!!

I went into preterm labor with my youngest at 34 weeks. I made it to 3 centimeters and 50% effaced spent 3 days in the hospital before being released. I was taken off of work and told to take it easy. Besides having prodromal labor over the next 5 weeks I didn't budge until I went into actual labor at 39 weeks. So I wouldn't but much stalk in those numbers.
I was also 1 cm and 75% with my oldest for the whole last month if pregnancy and was not but on any restrictions and worked until I was induced at 40+3.
