I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
Car accident and car seat question My husband was just rear ended and our daughters car seat was in the car. We need to report that to the insurance, right? Even though she wasn't in it?
Always amazed At the amount of seats that come into seat checks totally wrong. I did roughly 30 checks today and only 4 were right! Lots of babies are now safer in the car!

The insurance company have to pay out for a new car seat whether the child was in it or
Not according to RoSPA. I'll post a link for u.
There can be hairline cracks which u can not see, the only way to tell if the car seat is safe for use would b in a test crash.. Which would destroy the car seat Anyways. X

Ask the insurance company.
One of my friends was rear ended last year, after dropping her one year old son off. The insurance apparently told her she didn't need to replace it, as he wasn't in it at the time.
Her car wasn't as badly damaged as yours though.

No problem hun.. There might not look anything wrong with the car seat but I wouldn't risk it. X

Yes I would totally get a new one. They say once it's been in a crash it is unsuitable to be used again x
