I don't normally post anymore more a lurker now but need advice tonight Oliver just won't settle which isn't like him at all he normally goes down at 7 and then I don't hear a peep out of him till half 8 the next day so today I thought he was coming down with something so I gave him some Calpol. Put him down at 7 then an hour later he woke up again crying and wouldn't settle eventually after 20 minutes he settles then wakes up an hour later so I gave him some neofen and gave him some cuddles but he will not settle at all now I don't know what else to do :/ I've tried seeing if he's thirsty but he won't take any. He's 16 months thank you in advance xx

Is he cutting his back teeth?
My DD had no issues apart from them. Took teething powders and gel.
My kids sometimes wouldn't settle at night if they were too tired, if that makes sense. Sometimes they just have an off night like we do
Hopefully he'll settle soon and you'll both sleep x

No he's cut all of his teeth now I've been quite lucky on that part. He's settled now hopefully it stays like that. It's just so out of character for him. He has just cut one of his naps out so maybe he is over tired I never thought of it to be honest thank you xx

He is currently in a leap but normally doesn't bother him. He has woke up with a cold so gonna go get the bits to help him with it today fingers crossed tonight is better safe to say I'll be sleeping when he does and coffee will be my best friend lol x

The last leap is horrible apparently and is the worst! my son is due his last leap any day and I'm kinda dreading it normally wouldn't bother him but apperently the last own does x

The leaps never really bothered my son just a little grouchy but the last leap was the worst! For a week I wanted to pull my hair out so bad & even just chuck myself out of windows some days ?

Oh god that's the leap he's in now but I'm already half way through it we have 20 days left so here's hoping then that's it xx
