stealing from a single mother...

stealing from a single mother...

Stealing from a newly single mom is one of the lowest things you can do.. I'm so frustrated right now. I went and did groceries for my daughter to last until I get paid and my brother took it upon himself to take all of it. He's taking food out of my daughter's mouth and all I want to do is cry because I'm so frustrated. I had to move in with my family because my apartment that I'm supposed to move into had some issues so they are gutting it and redoing it. Its extremely hard when I live with a kid that says he can't control his eating habits. I'm going to start locking her food in my parents room but I figured if it was labeled for my daughter it would be safe but apparently people in this house lack a heart. ?

He's got self control issues. Loves eating. Even when he's full. He's been to a doctor and there's nothing wrong with him that causes it. He just wants to eat all the time cause it's fun for him I guess. I don't know the whole situation. Locking the doors at night wouldn't save my groceries because my father unlocks it in the morning and there's enough time between the time my dad leaves in the morning and when my brother leaves for him to throw everything in his bag.

That's awful, I'm so sorry ?

Locking the food is a good idea.

Sounds like your brother might have some issues with eating since your parents had to lock the kitchen. I've never heard of anyone doing that!

I hope they replace your daughters things.

Can you talk to him about it? Does he have eating or self control issues? That's a lot of food for one day.

Thats horrible Op, I hope your parents replace it all. I do feel your anger and frustration.

I lived in a townhouse roughly 18 yrs ago with my first 2 kids. Youngest at the time was 2. I had my groceries delivered as i didn't have a car back then and they delivered them early. Shouldn't have been much of a problem as we had 6 foot fences so no one would have known. Except my neighbour watched. They'd moved in a few weeks prior and actually took ALL my groceries. A few hundred worth. They denied and denied until i stormed in after their little girl let slip to my daughter. I found all my groceries and even the little golden books my kids had chosen, hidden under the stairwell. Scumbags. The grocery store offered to replace all but declined. They did however replace what was missing and also added some extras even though they didn't have to.

Is it your 3 year old brother that is eating all the food? Or is it another brother?

Normally they lock the kitchen when they go to bed but when I moved in that chafed so I could have access to it for my daughter.

Why does he eat like that? $100 of groceries in a day! What do your parents say/do about it, if anything?

@sarah I definitely agree but it never hurts me as much when it's my food taken. Take my snacks whatever but don't take food out of my daughter's mouth. I'm limited on funds for a couple weeks because of how much I had to fork out for my move and had to borrow the money for her food from my ex and now I have to call him and have him send me even more so I can go out and replace the almost 100 dollars of groceries for my daughter that my brother ate in a matter of a day.

My room is in the room off the living room. The laundry room and one of the other bathrooms is connected to it and the only way you can access those are through my room so I can't lock that door as my 3 year old brother needs easy access to a bathroom. If get a small fridge but at this point Theres no room in my bedroom to keep a fridge. My best bet is to lock it in my mother's room but I don't have access to it when Shes not home. I can talk to her about giving me the key to it when she leaves so I can grab my daughter's food when she needs it but that's really my only option as my brother with tear apart things looking for food. I'd give my daughter food that's already here but they don't really have anything that's proper for an 11 month old to eat. My family doesn't eat very healthy at all and I don't want my daughter eating grease or junk food. ?

Stealing in general is the lowest thing someone could do.

I'm sorry that happened. That's why I keep stuff in my own room or in the cabinet I out a lock in in the kitchen.....

Get a small fridge/freezer to put things inside your room

That sucks OP. I would absolutely lock it up. Do you have your own room?

So irritating that I have to deal with baby momma drama from my boyfriends daughters mom.She has never been there for them I've been their mom since the oldest was 1 and the 4 year old was a newborn and now to call with bs is so frustrating to the point I want to move. I'm tired of us constantly having to move because of this raggedy ass broad. They sat outside our house Saturday night with plans to jump me like wtf I'm 7months pregnant.

I need some advice my ex and I broke up November 27th and we haven't gotten along at all since we have fought almost ever day since we broke up and its about everything but our daughter. Now I have this great opportunity to move to New York with my sister and work in one of the biggest hospitals. He is telling me I can't take my daughter with me when this move can benefit from my kids and me. I've decided I'm going to go means I will be leaving in 2 months. But he's telling me if I leave he will take my daughter from me what should I do? Neither one of us has custody of her yet. Plus I have a son with another man and he is letting me take my son.
