Holy Hell Diva Cup!!
I'm just raving because I didn't think I could be this comfortable when Aunt Flo was around. Took a couple tries and being back and forth to the washroom but I figured it out!! I'm never going back. If you don't have one it might be a good thing to look into. Best 40 I've ever spent. I do have to say though it's nice that I don't have to worry about having to change and realizing I forgot my tampons. ????
I'm waiting for my cup in the mail. I bought a cheap one to try because I don't want to waste money on something if I'm unsure about it. I also have been having houdini periods where it's there one minute gone the next. My little sister and I have just invested in cloth pads which are a million times comfier than disposable and I've never been a tampon girl. I really hope I like the cup!
I've been climbing over baby gates and went to the lake and was running and swimming all over the place. So yes. You can. It literally feels like I'm not on my period. I put it in at 8 this morning and don't even have to worry about it til 8 this evening. I'll probably change it sooner cause I don't like germs. But I've had every issue with tampons and pads and finally got one of these handy little things and I'm so in love. It stays put. Tampons always found their way out once they started getting full. It's pretty great and I'm starting to question of its weird or not to call my sister and cousin and make them get one. Some people have issues with them and I had a hard time getting it in the first couple times. Now it just works.
I guess I'm kind of lucky that it only took me a few tries to figure it out.
@PP I was expecting a massacre in my bathroom. I have a "heavy" flow and it wasnt even halfway filled and I put it in at 10 last night and emptied it at 8 this morning. I just take it out slowly and dump it straight in the toilet. I've read a few things that say that you don't know how heavy your flow actually is with pads and tampons because they make it look like there's way more than there actually is and it's so true. From what I've experienced with my cup so far I'm confident that I can go 12 hours without over filling it. The first time I took it out I was going to do it in the shower just I'm case but it went pretty smoothly.
I remember when I thought tampons were the greatest thing ever. I was 16 because my mom didn't think I should be allowed to wear tampons cause she hated them. I slept with the cup in and it's definitely so different. I'm not even mad about the upkeep. I'm not really finding a downside to this cup thing. I'm really quite happy with this. I thought it was going to be the weirdest, grossest thing ever but it's really not what I expected at all.
I will have to try it ! I used to be able to use tampons in my pre kid era lol! But after I had my 2nd child Tampons would cause the most excruciating + horrid cramps ever !! As soon as I took the tampon out the cramps would stop so I was forced to stick to pads. Once this baby is born and my cycle eventually returns I will try the cup! ( I know I'll be scared tho loll )
I was too. I had a section and got size 2 because it says to use if you've had a child either vaginally or by c section. It took me I think 3 tries and omg. I'm so happy I've just been raving about it to my baby's dad all night. I went 7 hours without taking it out. No leaks and when I took it out to empty it there wasn't even much there. In 7 hours that's 3-4 tampon changes for me. I feel like tampons don't really work all that well for me and they start leaking within an hour or 2. With the constant changing and my sensitive flower I'm usually in so much pain that I have to use a pad at night which grosses me out. 7 hours and I feel nothing. There's no annoying string. I went swimming with it. In pleasantly surprised. I was so scared it would get swallowed up or something and forever be lost or would hurt going in. Seriously. Do it. I just tried not to think too much about it and it's not as scary as I thought it was going to be. ??
@storm
You can get conflicting information. My OB told me it was okay but I've read otherwise. Some women do it but some have accidentally suctioned out the IUD with it.
I tried it once and felt like it could compromise the IUD. I wouldn't recommend it.
