Weight loss.
I want to lose weight and kind of minimize or rid myself of my mommy flap. I'm currently the biggest I've ever been and I believe it's from having multiple surgeries in the last 7 months and not being allowed physical activity beyond what's necessary. I had an emergency section 7 months ago and a few other surgeries after that. I'm only 5'2" so it's incredibly easy to be considered overweight and my goal weight is currently 90 lbs away. ? I'm looking for tips on things I can do at home with my daughter around without spending ridiculous amounts of money. I want to tone my Arms, legs and butt while also getting rid of weight in those areas and my tummy and back. Basically anything you ladies have for advice I'll take it. What I should eat and what I should do. I don't care if I've got to start working myself to the bone. I want to feel better about myself and now that I'm allowed to get up and actually move around I've been dying to work out. I don't have much time in a day where I can go to a gym or anything. My daughter's dad will sit home with her I'm sure for an hour or so in the evenings for me to go for a run.
After my second baby I got in the best shape of my life using fitnessblender on YouTube. They have tons of different workout routines for all different stages of progress and also for low impact. They talk about nutrition and calorie counting in their videos. The videos are absolutely free to do, and very effective. I saw different results every week. But of course I got pregnant and am suffering from morning sickness, but plan to get back in the routine as soon as I can!
Lemon & cayane pepper water every morning. I swear when I do this it really helps. But unfortunately I forget ?. Lots of water, Walking, dancing, laughing, making yourself pretty.. It sounds silly but when I do these things I feel better about myself and start loosing weight and look better.. I do suffer from depression so it's easier said than done. And for toning you tube videos you can do it at home and focus on different zones in your body
I agree with using myfitnesspal, I like that you can scan barcodes instead of having to search for a specific ingredient/food.
Once you use it for a couple weeks and get used to staying at your caloric goal, your body really gets used to it. I have issues with portion control, and after a couple weeks I had no desire to overeat anymore. I physically couldn't eat like I used to.
Exercise dont mean a thing if you're not eating right.
What I did was cut something out of my diet every 2 weeks.
One week cut out sugar..
2 weeks later go gluten free
2 weeks after that start replacing your carbs...
Smoothies with protein for breakfast
Have a fruit or veggie snack in between breakfast and lunch.
If you choose veggies-no ranch.
Lunch, you can do a salad of your choice..I always try to do a lite ranch or balsamic..
Snack
Then dinner..
Maybe fish or salmon
Or Baking chicken with side veggies..
Also go make detox waters.
(Pinterest it)
And do at least 30-45 mins of physical exercise a day.
If you can do more , that's great.. Everyday or week you can change your routine..
Tummy one day, legs/butt one day, arms one day..repeat.
Its all mind over matter ! You got this.
@pp, there's no evidence that b12 shots will cause weight loss for the average person. It can for someone who has megaloblastic or pernicious anemia as that can cause fatigue and other health issues leading to weight gain, therefore the shots fix those issues and help the weight come off but that's not something the average person deals with.
Weight loss is basic calories in vs calories out. So either up your exercise, cut your calories, or both. Find an app like myfitness pal or something similar because when you enter your current height and weight it will calculate an appropriate amount of calories for you based on your basal metabolic rate, or how many calories your body will need just to function for everyday life, and then of course account for how active you are. Also, obviously, you want to try to make healthier food choices. Cut out sodas, ideally drink 8 glasses of water a day or preferably half your body weight in oz, up your fruit and vegetable intake, less processed foods and junks, etc.
Count calories. Use myfitnesspal and track your exercise. It does all of the math for you. Never go below 1200 net (that's what you've eaten minus exercise. So if you eat 1600 calories, and you burn 600 through exercise, that's 1000 net and you need to eat 200 more *minimum* or you risk metabolic damage which is hard to recover from and will make it extraordinarily difficult to lose weight as a survival response, so less is not always more ??)
I lost 80 pounds in a year using myfitnesspal.
See and I've grown up being I size 0. I got with my one ex and got depressed. He never let me out of the house. Nothing. I was 200 lbs when I was with him. I left him and 3 months later I was 50 lbs lighter. I have no idea what I did. I've started doing my hair and makeup even more now. I never did it much before I had my daughter but I felt like I was needing one thing to help me feel better about myself because I was a sahm who never left the house. My daily was sweat pants, huge t-shirt, no bra, messy hair and no makeup. That does wonders for making you feel awful. So I'm trying to take it bit by bit. I look okay with clothes then I stand there and stare at myself before my showers and oh boy. Clothes can sure hide a lot. Looking at me I'm not disgustingly huge but I am big. I should look a lot worse for my healthy and weight ratio but it spreads really well. I eat when I'm bored. Its awful. I really need to find the will power to not run to the kitchen every time I'm bored.
