babysitters?

How old would you want a sitter to be if the baby is 7 months and going to be sleeping for the most part? Also. 60 for 3 hours is a good amount right? Thats including cab fare home cause I'm going for a few drinks and won't be able to drive.

I'd say a teenager age 16-18 w. Siblings of their own at least, that way you know they've had SOME TYPE of experience w. Babies. & $60 for 3 hours sounds about right. When I was younger, my aunt left me w. Her son for 24 hours & only paid me $20 to watch him... Needless to say I was pissed. Lol.

60 is a fair price for 3 hours. I was a nanny for almost 5 years and it was frustrating when some parents would want to hire me offering less than minimum wage... But I guess nannying is different from on and off babysitting. Either way, 60 is more than fair. As far as age goes, I would be more concerned with knowing they are mature enough to handle any potential issues that could arise. Baby will hopefully be sleeping the whole time but if not, they need to know how to properly care for a 7 month old.

id prefer the sitter to be over 18, if its not family. but that's just me. and 60 is plenty. I pay my sitter (sister in law) 20$ a day to watch my son!

Sounds reasonable. I'm in nyc and would get about $80 to watch 2 siblings for 4hrs..so ya about 20 an hour.

I would want the sitter to be at least 17-18, with a drivers license (just incase). But yes $60 is plenty! I get paid 35 a day for two kids! ?

Oh. I just don't want to underpay. I feel like you get what you pay for.

My SO would have to work 6hrs to make that, 7hrs after taxes. That's plenty to watch a baby sleep lol

Babysitters usually make minimum wage (if that) even in NYC they're only getting like $15/hr & that's WAY over what you would pay them anywhere else.

That's only 20/ hr cab would probably be 20.

$60 is way more than enough for 3 hrs. Even if the cab fare is like $35.

60 is pretty good for sitting on the couch while the baby sleeps. Babysitter at 7 months isn't bad. Things come up can't be under our babies very moment, as much as we want too
