pregnancy test

Okay guys so i took pregnancy test about a week ago and it came back positive and i was keeping the test because thats how i was going to tell my husband but he away with work for a couple weeks, anyways when i came home tonight that same test i was gonna show him read neg is that just because it been sitting to long or should i be concerned ?
