I really liked the medela and lansinoh ones. The medela one wasn't as convenient on the go for me though. I hated the evenflo. It was very painful to use. The Ameda also was uncomfortable and bulky.

I have fep bcbs and they only cover the ameda purely yours. I haven't played with it yet but the reviews aren't that great. Right now a pump is a pump to me...I'm sure that'll change though.
I was prescribed an awesome Medela but federal insurance is chinsy. Such crap.

Ive heard good things about the spectra

I have a medela pump in style advanced. It worked well, but it's been a few years since I've used it. It is portable and I even bought a car adapter so I could pump in the car, if I needed too (not while driving). I heard great things about the Spectra. You can apparently pump more milk with it. But it isn't portable, so it would be hard to travel with.

The spectra seems to be the "it" pump right now. Lots of moms are saying Medela quality has gone down. I used the Medela and liked it but it was two years ago. Some of the other ones I looked up and they are really cheap. If you are going back to work you need a high quality pump so I would stick with the spectra or Medela. If you aren't going back to work then some of the others could work and are smaller.

I used the Ameda Purely Yours with my last baby and I had no issues. It was compact and easy to transport. I carried it to work with me to pump and I loved it. That was four years ago...I just got my second one in the mail today for this baby! It looks like they haven't changed anything, I'm looking forward to using it.
