Mombie, I most definitely would have if she hadnt been so excited to go. When he hung up with his dad he said "Maddie, you want to go stay with Papaw and go to church??" And she got excited, she had been talking about going for a couple weeks. I didn't want to break her heart and make it sound like we was going back on our word. He doesn't think she will remember this Easter. Damnit I will though!! I know if I say anything he will feel really really bad and offer to go get her but it would hurt her so I'm going to let her stay.

Knockout, that's actually a really a good idea! Considering we was invited too of course. That is if I can get hubby up that early lol I can't drive at the moment so I can't go alone.

Well this post was pointless. I did the right thing and I believe hubby just wasn't thinking at the moment.

Oh well lol I think I'll just do an Easter evening at home. Let her help me make Easter dinner and daddy and I can help her hunt her eggs. That should be plenty to make up for it. She doesn't know any different anyway, right?

I think you should have told them exactly what you said here, however grateful you are for them, you would like to see your daughters reaction for her basket. Would it upset you if they made her one and that's what she sees in the morning? I still say keep it at home. That's your hard work.
