I started her on a routine at 4 weeks and stuck to it. She sleeps 12 hrs every night with one night every two weeks where she will wake up at 1 have about an oz of formula and fall back asleep. Nap times have no routine ever since she started daycare... Usually one in the morning and one in the afternoon tho. Whenever she wants. But bed time is always bath at 630 in crib by 7.
Yes April she has no problem going to sleep but usually in a few hours shes fussing on and off sometimes for an hour, keep having to rub her back and if I try to nurse thinking shes hungry she flips out , she's been doing this for as long as I remember. Last night was a good night, down at 9, up at 2:30 and 5:30 and no waking in between but that's a rare night, usually so much fussing throughout the night.
California time. He goes to sleep at 9:30pm latest has been 12am eats in between hours but he is half asleep wakes up completely at 10:30 or 11:15am takes a nap 3 times in the day & only sleeps for an hour rarely 2 hours. My son rarely sleeps on his own, he likes sucking on my nipple that soothes him to go to sleep.
Shari I'm going through the EXACT same thing!
Tuesday and Thursday's I have a little office filing job and Cam gets to go with me and i can't follow the schedule at the office!
I'm so sick of not sleeping! With my first he slept all night and I mean like 9-10 hours when he was 3 months!
I sure hope it gets better! I can't take it
Ok so there's no quick fix ?
THIS BABY....thats what I say to my husband at night....
Shari I was at my dr this week and he says it's still normal at this stage to not sleep through the night.
And remember every baby is different. I have Clara on a schedule and have since she was 2 months. She has "slept" through the night twice. She has been all over the place at night. Last night she was up from 12-2 having a party . I don't know why???
Schedule is important but some babies just do there own thing
Ok some ladies responded on Google that I need to help my baby sleep.
I was so frustrated with her yesterday, she slept for 30 minutes, I also fell asleep and was drooling I was so tired but then she woke quickly.
Idk I'm going to try my best to get her on a schedule. Some nights she is awake playing for an hour and then starts crying....maybe she just can't get herself back to sleep. She nurses at least once through the night and really gulps...its always 6 hours after the last time she drank. Even we started cereal this week and she still is up after 6 hours of drinking and eating cereal....so idk I guess she us different in that she is hungry still? Shes over 18lbs so there's no issue with her weight, but most babies can go through the night by now...
Were actually on a good schedule during the day. Wake up 8:30, nap 11, 1 and 4. His first nap is anywhere from 1-2 hours and then last 2 are 45 or so.
He's asleep by 9pm for the "night" but still up at usually midnight, 3:00amish and 6:00am. Those are to eat. I had to soothe him back to sleep 4 other times ?
Goes to bed around 7:00-7:30, wakes up around 6:00-7:00. He goes to daycare, so his schedule is not always “set” the same everyday. He usually naps 3 times a day, 2 shorter ones (45 min-1 hour), and one long one (1.5-2 hours). We pretty much just go by his cues and let him sleep during the day when he wants to. But if he goes too long without a nap, we put his sleep sack on, paci in, and rock him until he’s drowsy. He’s starting to understand sleeping routines. Do you guys have a set thing you do when it’s nap time at home? That might help!
My little one has to be woken up by me at 530am to eat before I go to work for the day and goes back to sleep until about 830-9 after eating. She takes 3 short naps throughout the day only for about 45 mins each on average. She goes down for the night around 8-8:30 and sleeps all night.. I'm not sure if she's napping enough throughout the day, but she's sleeping for about 9 hours straight at night, so I'll take it! ?
Sadly I think they consider “sleeping through the night” 5 hours or more at this age.
Jack wakes up between 7-8 every morning and is in bed between 630-7 every night.
He doesn’t have a set nap times, but he takes either 3 or 4 naps a day. I just follow his cues, but he usually tolerates being awake for 1.5-2 hours. Lately he’s been taking his last nap of the day around 5 and it’s right around 30 minutes.
Sadly, he takes most of his naps on me and those range anywhere from 30 minutes to a little over an hour.
Wakes up between 5:30 - 6:30 drinks milk
He usuLly goes back to sleep for an hour or two.
Then he naps after lunch at 12/12:30
And then he takes a nap from like 4:45 to 6 and that's the last nap usually.
We give him dinner at 6 and then he's asleep by 8-8:30.
Sometimes he stays asleep all night sometimes he doesn't but he usually only wakes up once if he does.
I had a hard time getting him on this schedule on my own but his daycare lady got him sorted.
Who else is a stay at home mom? 💗
Who reckons the octopus is Kylie?!
Who co sleeps and who doesn’t?
Breastfeeding information and tips
This is a post I've made to help women who are thinking of breastfeeding, or are breastfeeding and may have some questions about breastfeeding. It is also aimed to help women who may be experiencing problems with breastfeeding and may need to know how to deal with these problems because most breastfeeding problems can be sorted.
Sierra wakes at 5:45-6:30am. She naps well throughout the day - usually 30min to 2+hours about every 3 hours. Then goes to bed at 9pm. Since starting daycare, we’ve had to stick to a schedule and she’s been sleeping through the night consistently. Plus I think daycare is tiring her out.
