Sleeping nights? Is anyone's little one sleeping 6+ hours? If so, how old are they? Breastfed or formula? Curious...I…

I have a 2 week old, formula feeding her and she'll eat every 3 hrs during the day. Her last feeding before bedtime is between 10-11pm. She'll sleep from then til 4-5am have a bottle and go back down for 3 more hrs. I hope this continues as I've been feeling pretty good, considering I also have a 2 and 4 year old at home with me too

My 14 yr old slept all night starting from when we were in the hospital, my son will be 2 on the 21st and he still wakes up at least once a night. This little girl has awake time until 10pm then sleeps till about 3 and goes back to sleep until 6 or 7am. All my kids were formula fed. My 2 young kids were/are on sensitive to lactose formula and my oldest was also on formula (I can't remember which one because we tried so many different brands and types to find one that didn't make her puke after each feeding).

Oh wow, after reading these comments I think I am extremely lucky! My daughter is ebf and will be 6 weeks tomorrow. For the past couple weeks or so she has consistently been sleeping in 6-8 hour stretches at night. I think when sh was around a week old she was already sleeping in 4 hour stretches. How do you mommas that have to get up every 2 hours do it?!?

My lo just turned 1 month, ebf, and last night he slept his first 6 hour stretch. I'm hoping it's not a fluke ?but I don't think time or even feeding method really matters because my first was up literally every 1.5 hours day and night for the first couple months at least; he was also ebf.

Nop I wake every 2 hours

My girl is sleeping 2.5 hours at night. She'll sleep 3-3.5 if she's had a bath or if she's sleeping beside me in bed. She also sleeps longer stretches during the day.

@roxa- wow I never knew that how we ate at night could possibly affect their routine. Interesting!

My son is one month old, he typically sleeps in two 3.5 to 4 hour blocks overnight and has slept five hours multiple times and slept six hours once two days ago. He's exclusively breastfeeding. I haven't done anything to get him on a feeding or sleeping schedule, he just eats on demand. Usually in the evening he cluster feeds before sleeping his longer stretch. Hopefully that will continue!

My son is 3 weeks today, he sleeps for about 7 hours. I'm breastfeeding him. My other two were the same. I think the fact that I didn't eat at night time while pregnant helps alot because they are already used to not eating during that time.

Zaman is 6 weeks old. He slept 5 hours at a stretch for the first time this week. But he's usually 3.5 to 4 hours. He's ebf.

Emerson is ebf and wakes to eat every 2.5-3 hours. Each wake time lasts about an hour since due to latch difficulties we are currently feeding bottled breastmilk first then I nurse him. Plus a diaper change on either end, upright time to prevent spit-ups...mama is tired! Thank God I have a saint for a husband who helps so much.

I'm not even going to say because I will jinx it! ??? I will say I am breastfeeding only a few times a day and the rest she is formula fed. I stopped waking her up after her 1 week checkup because she was already past her birth weight and her doctor told me ( I didn't ask ) that I didn't have to wake her every few hours to feed anymore. She is 4 weeks old today.

My son..he was strictly breastfed for the first few months and woke up every 2 hours all during the day and night. It's so funny how different every baby is!

Turned one month yesterday. Breastfed. She wakes up to eat every 2 hours, around the clock. Every few nights she'll give us a 3 hour stretch 9-midnight. Then it's usually every 1.5 hours the rest of the night to make up for it!

Layla goes to bed around 11pm. Some nights it may be anywhere between 10pm and midnight. But we aim for 11pm. In the beginning, before she hit 4 weeks, she would wake up 4-5 times a night. Now its only 1 or 2. For 3 nights in a row she slept 5 hours, 6 hours and then 7.5 hours!!! Last night however, she only slept for 4 hours until her first night feed. She will be 7 weeks tomorrow, and she is breastfed. Fingers crossed she is learning how to sleep at night!!!

My girl is sleeping 6 hours from 5-11. She is 5 weeks old and she's breastfed.

Damien is almost 7 weeks formula feed and sleeps between 5-7 hours at night. His last feed is usually around 11pm.

I wish! My boy is 6 weeks yesterday and only formula fed and I only started getting him to go 3 hours for the last week, and alot of times throughout the day it's still only 2 hours. Before that it was every hour,hour and a half to two hours. I'm so tired and feel like I'm doing something wrong lol!

Yeah I remember when my other children didn't wake up at night for the first time..and the sun was coming in the window and I wasn't tired...I was worried and quickly checked on baby!!!

Adan is ebf and usually will sleep from 11-2:30 and then from 3am-6am. It's not always exact but usually around those times. So I only wake up twice at night. He will nap before that too but these are the times that we have him in bed and have the room dark and quiet. Oh and he is 2 weeks and 5 days

No even close. We maybe make 3.5 hours. I read somewhere that it's not necessarily a great thing to have baby sleep all night long. If it happens that's great but not to 'sleep train' them to do so. Especially breastfed babies. 1 reason is obviously they are at a critical growing time and need the overnight feeds to plump up their little bodies. And 2 for breastfed babies, your body needs that signal to feed to keep your supply up.

Lord I wish. Jude is both breast fed and formula fed. During the night his longest stretch is generally 3 hours and not typical it's usually 2 hours.

My son slept 5 1/2 hours last night. Not sure if it's because he hardly slept at all from 4pm-10:30pm last night or because we fed him at 8:30 and then again at 10:30. Either way I'll take it, I feel AMAZING today!

He will be 4 weeks on Tuesday and just formula fed. Probably weighs about 9lbs

Edit: this was by far the longest. Most nights it's 3 hours like clockwork!
