Yes Mrsfigs I did speak with two of the nursing staff when I was brought to my room in the baby unit. I politely explained what happened and that I just think the consultant should ask permission. What a chaotic time it was, I just put my head back while this woman took over with my breasts and baby-I lost full interest. I also wrote a few lines on the surgery survey so we'll see if they make changes. I still feel I need to write a formal complaint to an appropriate management personnel in the hospital so it is something really taken seriously. It was really inappropriate of this woman.
Omg idk how I missed this! CONGRATULATIONS! She's so beautiful. I'm terribly sorry u had a poor experience. I think u should report that back- not to get someone in trouble, but bc your feedback is just as important for learning as bringing that student in. I wouldn't want that to happen to another mom and neither would u. I don't want that student to think that's how things should be done. Gorgeous name and so meaningful!!! Xoxo
About time!!! She is absolutely adorable! Congratulations!!! Im so sorry you had a bad experience! But at least baby is happy and healthy!!! Hope your recovery goes well!
Thank you! I love her name too. It came to us. We were looking forever for a name. Then we had family fly in on Monday and we were all just talking and my nephew was talking about his girlfriend. I asked what her name was and he said Nadia (with a French accent). I thought to myself I just love that name so when I was able I googled it to check the meaning because meaning is everything to me. Omg it said Nadya (the derivative means hope). Hope is everything to our family. In our home you'll see the word hope everywhere, that's when I knew it was the right name. Hope and grace ❤️ we need more of that in our life!!
Thank you. I had a c-section but they call it c-birth here. This was my 4th section which I thought would be a breeze as two of my sections were amazing but this one was actually very difficult. The epi-morph that goes in the spinal caused me to vomit a lot and I was extremely itchy everywhere and spaced out. Not a good experience. The lactation consultant was crazy dominating my body and taking over my breasts to feed the baby while I was being poked at and pushed on my belly-do much chaos I was overwhelmed. The consultant took this opportunity to teach a university student about the recovery room experience for a mother and instead my husband and I lost out on a positive bonding experience with our baby. Thankfully we all come around in time.
