Well, I don't want to jump to the c section right away. I did also have a episiotimy, and he was delivered with forceps. Every pregnancy and baby is different. When the day comes if that's how she gets here safe, then that's that.

That plus a 9 hr shift on my feet running around after the sweep got things started. I' surprised with a past history of shoulder dysplasia they wouldn't automatically do a c section for everyone's safety??

Im having a bunch of medical issues, no circulation in my hards and feet which they first thought was carpal tunnel, is not. I have an undiagnosed heart condition. And my son had shoulder displasia, because he was born at 40+3 9lbs 8.5 Oz, 22.5 inches. So they know my birth canal is only so big, at my 36 week ultrasound she was already measuring two weeks ahead.

How far along are you and why do you have to talk induction? If you don't mind me asking. What's your Bishop score?

Nope I had 1 at 39 weeks 1 at 40 weeks she was born 41+2

Yes. Had my baby 3 days after.

Yes had my baby 10 hrs after the sweep, had it done at 39 weeks exactly

Yes! But after it I literally didn't sit down I just walked and walked and walked and chugged water and started getting contractions and I was only 2cm dilated and cervix was like long and in tact or whatever. Ended up having the sweep at 10am, had contractions and lost my mucus plug, and was at the hospital by 2am and was 8cm dilated and had her in 3 pushes by 7am !

Yes. I had my baby in my arms 24 hours later. I was 4cm and 75% when I got membranes stripped. That was my second pregnancy.

Yes. I normally would opt out of any kind of cervical check but I was so curious when it was a couple days before my due date. So I got her to check. I was 3cm and she said her head was right there and then did the sweep. Started having mild contractions the next morning and she was born on her due date.

I was already a 3cm so was hoping it would work. We're going to have to talk induction at my next appointment but I'm glad I was able to keep her in this long

Nope. Tried at 39+2 & 40+3. Opted out of 3rd and he came when he was ready 41+4.

Tried it with #1-3, and it didn't help me at all. For the next two I didn't even let the doctor do a cervical check in the last couple weeks, let alone a membrane sweep.

Yes however I was already getting contractions during the week. We ONLY agreed to it because I would be giving myself a time to get my antibiotics since I was positive for strep b. However my labor happened fast I didn't get the antibiotics for the minimum of 3hours :/ I labored start to finish 2hrs!

Yes it worked with both my boys. DS1 I went into labor about two hours after a sweep and DS2 it was within 24 hours.

No, but the threat of it did ?. I REALLY didn't want to have one, but had it scheduled for 41w 2d. I went into labor a couple hours before that appointment. My sister had multiple membrane sweeps w/both of her pregnancies, and they never worked. She said it just caused unnecessary pain and bleeding for her.
