Love this idea!
In terms of non gender specific- some places have regulations about accepting food, so it might have to be packaged food rather than anything home made. Maybe a fancy pen or notebook would be unisex and useful
Good point ladies food makes everyone happy doesn’t it

@our_cub, we did muffins and donuts as a thank you to the nurses with my first. Problem was I had to rely on my in-laws to bring the goodies. Didn't want to have to do that this time around so these are loaded up in a gift bag in the car we'll be taking to the hospital. The nurses did seem to enjoy the sweets though! And there were plenty so I didn't have to worry about not bringing enough
Foooooood. Speaking from the perspective of a nurse, the best patient gifts were always the ones that would fill my belly! Haha.. didn't even have to be anything elaborate. Cookies, a fruit basket, or box of donuts all made me equally happy. Or the one time a patient's family brought in huge trays of stuff from Chipotle - drool!!! ??
Our_cub you could do like a mini body spray or a more manly scented lotion. I know my nurses are always saying their hands are dry from constant washing and gloves. Scentsy has a skin care line and there are some manly scents.
Great idea but I'm pretty sure their are male midwives at my hospital I'd feel pretty bad if I had a male and only had a girly gift! What's another suggestion?
I love this idea! I just might steal it.
I did this except I gave them to the ladies at my obgyn office. I should really make more the nurses at the hospital.

I got the bags on Amazon. A pack of 100 cost $6.00 or so. Inside is just a mini hand sanitizer and a lip balm. Just something little to say thanks ?
What did u put in there?
I never would have thought to do this! Great idea
Where did you get those little bags? Those are cute!

@Amber, my husband thought 6 nurses, too! Hopefully I'll be good with 12 then. I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one needing to prepare now! And I hope baby decides to bake a bit longer for you
I have carseat installed, going to work on my bag after hubby wakes up for work tonight. I'm 33 weeks but have already been to the hospital once and had the steroid injection for her lungs, my uterus has been getting agitated and if I do too much it could turn into labor at any minute. Time to get ready I guess.
I remember at least 2. I was induced and had to be there at 6AM, so I had one nurse until shift change at 7AM and one the rest of the time. But there are other nurses that cover if my primary nurse is occupied, and when I delivered my Dr brought two nursing students in as well as my primary nurse and a pediatric nurse for baby....so maybe about 6 total? I think you made enough.
That's so sweet! I love the nurses at my hospital.

Thanks, Porter! I just hope I made enough. I have no recollection of how many nurses we came in contact with when my daughter was born.
Wow you're awesome! Those are so cute

We did chocolate and pens (my girlfriend is a nurse and she is the most possessive person over pens)
