Anyone start Christmas shopping yet?
Anyone start Christmas shopping yet?
My husband thinks I'm crazy, but I'm 1/3 way done with our Christmas shopping and wrapping. I just know I'm not going to have time for it once baby is born so I want it all completed by November. Problem is my pregnant brain is incapable of coming up with awesome gift ideas this year! Anyone start their shopping and buy gifts that you're really excited to give? Please share! Maybe it'll inspire me to think of something good haha

I wish.
That was the plan this year. Until I got pregnant and now we're spending whatever extra money we have on medical bills and baby! Lol

I haven't started yet but I will be soon! My husbands birthday is also November 2nd so I'm almost done with his birthday and then I'll move on to Christmas. I want everything done (or mostly everything) by the time baby comes too. We have a lot of people to shop for!

I can't even think about that right now

My shopping will be started and completed by the last week in October. It would be sooner but it's also my daughter's birthday the end of October so once that it out the way it will all be done within a week. I usually do that anyway but even more so I don't stress once baby is here I don't want to face all the busy shops with a newborn and a toddler x

I/we don't have the extra money for Christmas shopping right now and idk if my SO will once I quit my job. So we might have an extremely light Christmas this year.

Absolutely not! I don't think me and the husband will exchange gifts this year

I'm planning on doing a lot of online Christmas shopping this year.

I bought a few clearance toys for our 3 year old son a few weeks ago. I know my fiancé will end up doing all the Christmas presents for everyone so I'm hoping to have a few special things hidden for him before November that he won't expect.

I already made a list of stuff i have to buy n for who.. cuz i knw i wont have time for anyone when baby is here..
deleted-user·
No, but two of my kids keep telling me what they want and asking me to write it down.

I'm saving it to have something to do while on maternity leave. They sleep so much as a newborn I was sooo bored last time.
deleted-user·
Oh god I can't even think about Christmas right now ?

We have started but since it is early not very far along. Really hoping to have most of it done before delivery.

Nope.... But I really can't wait for Christmas.. I'm due 11/8 and want to do black Friday shopping for some gifts.
deleted-user·
@diore same!! I can't wait to black friday shop, except I'm doing it online from home. They have all the sames deals for the most part.. no crazy crowds.. I get to hold my little princess peacefully while I shop.. and really just bc I'm an online-shopaholic! Lol I'm addicted to getting packages. Even when they aren't for me.. it's a real problem haha I love Christmas time though.

I have started. I have clothes and some books for my son going to get a couple toys then he will be done. My daughter turns 4 on November 16th so I have clothes and books for that. Going to get a couple small things for her birthday and then I plan on doing the something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read. But I also have newborn pictures booked and I need to start paying on those. Need to pay $300. Also we need to find a vehicle for my husband.

Yep!! We are having a mini early Christmas the beginning of Oct (my sister and bro-in-law are leaving with their kids for a 7 month trip around the world, so they'll be gone for Christmas ???). So I've had to get all of their gifts already
deleted-user·
Yes!! I've started buying gifts and making lists. I'm due on Black Friday so I will either miss that shopping or if I'm still pregnant, I may get out to help induce labor. ? But I still want to be mostly done before she comes. I want to use what little energy I have post-birth to make special Christmas memories with my kids, not stress-shopping with a newborn!
deleted-user·
Yep. I'm about half done. But we keep it pretty simple so I don't have alot to get to begin with.
deleted-user·
I've gotten a few things and some
Ideas but nothing like I wanted to have by now! We're hoping to be moved into a new house by the time the baby gets here, so
I haven't bought much yet so we don't have to store it and move it.
I'm going crazy!
deleted-user·
I'm going to start next month!
deleted-user·
I started bcuz I am old fashion and don't leave the house for 6 weeks after baby unless it's to go to the Dr and with this one coming during cold/flu/rsv season I refuse to go to crowded stores. I also have started while I have a little extra $ since my leave is unpaid the budget will be tight until I go back to work.

I can't even with Christmas yet. I have to get past my daughters birthday and Halloween before I even can begin to think about. Present will probably not be bought at all till beginning of December. But we are also doing a light Christmas this year and only buying for our kiddos. No one else is getting presents.

I'm thinking this will be a reaaal light Christmas for us. ?♀️ closing on a house in October, baby being born in November and our sons birthday in February. In our new house we will have a playroom so we will make that real nice for our son for Christmas with some new toys, but probably won't get anyone else much at all. Thinking of secretly getting professional pics done of our boys and then giving them as gifts.
