Anyone pregnant and breastfeeding?

Anyone pregnant and breastfeeding?

I just got a positive test this morning (although it's super early - EDD is Nov 22 based upon LMP), and I'm still breastfeeding my 8 month old daughter. Not sure if I need to worry about immediately weaning? Or anticipate any issues with breastfeeding? Curious if anyone is in the same boat and can share what they're experiencing...

I was breastfeeding my son when I got prego with my daughter. My son was 9 months when I found out.. I never stopped breastfeeding him. My obgyn knew I was still breastfeeding and he said unless there are complications then there was no reason to stop feeding him..

I just found out I'm pregnant a week ago & i'm breast feeding my 11 month old. I don't think there's anything to worry about.☺

I'm 6 weeks and still breastfeeding my 13month old. She has been nursing a bit more often so I'm not sure if my supply has dropped some. My gp knows I'm still breastfeeding and had no issue with it.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a 14month old who still nurses around 3 -4 times per day. She was conceived after four cycles of IVF and our last embryo. I am so nervous about this pregnancy since we conceived naturally. I'm 4 weeks 1 day.

I'm also nursing my 8 month old, but I thoroughly researched breastfeeding and pregnancy before deciding it was ok to get pregnant again. Unless you are considered high risk, or there are other complications, breastfeeding is perfectly safe and healthy while pregnant. The only negative I have experienced so far is super sensitive nipples. And I think it does make me more tired...

I'm still breastfeeding my 11 month old, but my nips are already sensitive. I was planning to wean after one year, but think I'm going to go ahead and start now.

This was my concern before getting pregnant. My daughters 10 months and I'm almost 5 weeks.. crossing fingers we get through this pregnancy while bf.

I am! I'm an extended breastfeeder though, so my little one is much older lol.

However, I was in your position with my son and it wasn't an issue. He weaned on his own, but not until 15 months.

I am still nursing, and pumping while at work, for my 17 month old. Drawbacks this far are - decreased supply (he's been mad about it) and sensitive nipples.

Thanks to all of you ladies for sharing! I did some research online, but it's awesome to hear real women's experiences. I feel much more confident about continuing to nurse now ?. At least for a few more months - my goal is only 1 year. Super impressed by those of you who made it longer!

Good luck ❤️! And don't forget that if it doesn't happen, it's okay! As long as little one is happy and healthy, mission accomplished ??. You got this either way!
