Scared to nurse.
Davis has 7 teeth now and he's bitten me a couple of times so hard that I cried and now I'm so nervous to nurse him... I get a bit of anxiety every time.. especially because he latches like a hungry alligator.
My baby girl has a ton of teeth and bites at least once per day. I've noticed she's less likely to bite when there's lots of milk but.if she's just nursing for comfort rather than nutrition it's more likely. I try to distract her until the breast is full, like giving her food or switching out her toys, but sometimes I can't distract her.
And yes, it hurts, but the I think about how much more my contractions hurt and press on.
I'm scared right now too. My daughter has her 2 bottom teeth already in and has 3 top teeth pushing through the gum now. She's been bitting me and pulling off a few times already. It hurts like hell! I can't imagine what it's going to feel like once her 3 teeth are all the way down. I'm thinking if she continues to bite real hard and pull off it might be time to try some pumping and a sippy cup. I don't want to be used as a teething toy anymore and up all night. I'm hoping she quits biting or she will finally try a sippy cup or bottle for the first time
Yes! It's totally a phase though and will pass. Just be consistent and pull him off when he bites and say no. He will get it eventually! You bite then no boob! My first had a crap load of teeth early and it sucked! This guy is just getting his first tooth now and it is glorious!
Ahh wait til they get the top teeth ! Lol I feel like it's even worse now :(
Hahaha yes @mom2012.. I actually compare everything to the pain of labour now.. "does it hurt? Yes.. but no as much as labour so you're okay"
