Convertible Car Seat- advice please ;)
Hey ladies ! Can any of you recommend a convertible car seat ? Davis is almost at the height limit for our infant seat so we need to purchase one ASAP. We drive a Jeep Patriot so it's a smaller suv and we would prefer a more compact car seat if possible. Which convertible car seat do you have, and how do you like it ?! Thanks ladies ! ;)
I have the My Ride 65 by Graco, and although she looks very comfy in it, I'm not a huge fan. It is hard to get the straps tight enough. The more I use it, the easier it becomes, but I still have to pull the straps from behind the car seat, then pull on the tighter to get it tight enough. I had a Britax with my older kids, and it was much easier to use.
thanks ! I just checked it out. How can you go about trying them out before buying them?
I have the graco size4me 65. It also goes by different names depending on where you but. I LOVE it. All 3 of my kids have had one. It's not to bulky. We can fit it three across with my older two now in harnessed boosters. It is also behind the passenger seat and I'm not shoved all the way to the dash which is nice. It also rear faces for a good long while and accommodates a good height. My guy has been in it since day one. If you go back on my posts I have a picture of it.
I had a graco my ride 65 and I wasn't a fan. The straps were really hard to adjust and always had one side looser than the other. My sister in law had the same issue so I would try it out first if you can. I switched to the britax advocate and it is so much better! Pricey but worth it.
I actually don't think we have the next fit in Canada. I've been looking at the Graco my ride 65.. It seems to be smaller, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have this one ?
I have the same vehicle! We got the Chicco nextfit zip before I had my patriot. I liked the seat because of it's safety ratings, and ability to easily be washed, but it is definitely not very compact. It's really heavy too! I like the seat, and it works in my jeep, but would not recommend if being compact is high on your list.
Safety 1st guide 65. I have 2 of these in a mid sized sedan so you should be good.
