Sleep associations..
I've created some bad sleep associations like nursing him until he's fallen asleep or rocking him until he's completely asleep and then putting him down and I can't do that anymore. It's getting so much harder to rock him to sleep because he's getting bigger and I have a bad back. I honestly don't know how to get him to fall asleep on his own :( do you ladies have any advice ?
I was never a fan of cio but it was getting bad with mine, I'd get him completely asleep lay him down abs he'd instantly wake up! I tried everything the five S's, Rockinham toes eyes are really heavy where was about to fall sleep then lay him down, holding him for the full 20 minutes until he was in his deep sleep nothing made any difference. Finally I decided to try the CIO. I only leave them in there for a couple minutes crying, 5max. First night it took 50 minutes last night it took 20 minutes. We'll see how tonight goes. It's not easy to listen to him cry I'll tell you that. I set out side his door crying right with Him until the five minutes was up and run in there and soothe him and do it all again!
I do the same thing with Oak.
Fortunately for me, Oaklee isn't a screamer. She doesn't even cry. So when we put her down, most of the time she's awake and she puts herself to sleep. She coos at her mobile and gets sleepy on her own. Some times she pisses around and screeches for a few minute but we jusy watch her on the monitor and she will just go to sleep.
After her dad's been on shift for 72 hrs she likes to cuddle with him. So he puts her to bed almost asleep and sushes her till she's asleep.
@ mama.to.finn I'm just not sure how to get to that point. When I try to put him down still awake but sleepy he will whimper and then start crying and his cry turns into screaming until he's red in the face and choking. Blahh
Baby needs to go down in his bed sleepy but awake. If he falls asleep in his crib on his own, when he wakes up in the next sleep cycle (every 30-45 mins), he will more than likely just fall back asleep with no issue. It's the equivalent of an adult going to sleep with their pillow and waking up and it's gone. You would start looking for your pillow. Going to sleep on their own is a learned skill and there will probably be some tears, but I believe it is 100% worth it. My son goes to sleep on his own in his crib about 75% of the time with no real crying. He sleeps for his naps for 1-3 hours and sleeps 4-5 hour stretches at night. Before that he was only napping for 10-30 minutes and was up 10x a night. So trust me when I say I've been there :)
You have to rock him less each night and put him in the crib still slightly awake and then you hold him less each night. You will get him to the point where you can just set him in there and he will fall asleep. I did this with my girl to wean her off the rocking. I also have to use a specific white noise But she knows that sound means sleep. I'll post a picture in a second of the process
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I'm such a sucker for these!! Unfortunately I'm rocking the baby to sleep and I have no clue what color my underwear is. I'll have to get back to ya'll!!
Ok for the mommies who are having boys or have boys I need to know when do I let them circumcise him???? At the hospital or wait until I get him a pediatrician??????
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Does anyone have any advice or been in this situation before? Long story short is I have to push my almost 3 year old in a stroller to get him to nap or sleep EVERYDAY. He doesn’t need the motion just the restraint because if not he’ll just get up and go. He never stops, he’s autistic and at this point I’m not sure what else to do. I’ve tried a weighted blanket and it helps him stay asleep but not get to sleep. Any suggestions would be amazing🙏🏼
I have lots of bad sleep associations with my little guy too, rocking, nursing, sleeping with me. I've started to put him in crib sleepy but awake, i stay in the room with him, he will whine a bit and if it turns into full on crying i go over and soothe him by rubbing his tummy and shushing, lets him know i'm there without picking him up. When he's calm i go back to just sitting in the room and i repeat this until hes asleep. Takes about 40 mins, hoping it'll get shorter the more we do it.
