Need some advice ! :(

I don't know what to do anymore.. Davis's sleeping patterns are so terrible. I will rock him to sleep and then once I put him down he wakes up within 5 minutes.. I'll do this continuously and it's exhausting and we both end up getting no sleep.. I've tried bed sharing, co sleeping and his crib and nothing works. He barely sleeps at night and barely sleeps during the day.. I just don't know how to get him to stay asleep.. I can't hold him all night to sleep.. I'm so frustrated. :( ready to rip my hair out...

Get some help. In Aus there are sleep schools. I would enrol immediately to get support. Or a consultant to help you. Sleeping

And self settling are skills that babies need to learn.

Babywise is basically implementing a schedule and teaching baby how to sleep well so they can feed well. It's a parent led feeding schedule. The schedule varies by age. It's a great book and the system is working so im really excited! Oh and the incline we had to do that when my kiddo had reflux. We just put books under one side of his crib mattress but I heard you could just use a pillow.

Thanks ladies. I can't wear him because he hates being carried facing me, only facing out. He doesn't like his swing so he won't sleep in that either. What is the babywise program ?! I might try letting him sleep on an incline but how do you do that? Prop up the bassinet with blankets ?

During the day, babywearing has saved me. He is held and I can still do things with my hands, although having to constantly move sucks, I've lost a bunch of weight ?

I'm lucky in that cosleeping has worked well for us, but going to bed at like 9 is lame.

I implemented the babywise schedule and that night he started sleeping so much better. It will be a week tomorrow and he has only woken once from 8pm-7am every night!!

My only advise is to swaddle and put baby to sleep at an incline. Flat doesn't work for us but incline is better. Good luck!

Ladies I was in the same exact position as youse but it does get better.. I promise! We went from getting no sleep to getting 8+ hours (with minimum feeds) literally overnight. Some nights we are lucky and sleep all night without no feeds. Your baby will sleep better as he/she learns and starts getting into a routine. Ariana started sleeping better around 3 months mark! Just hang in there ladies!

Same here. Unfortunately, my daughter can't put herself to sleep. She won't take a pacifier and doesn't suck her thumb, and she needs to be nursed to fall asleep. Don't hold your LO all night... That's exhausting and also dangerous. All I can recommend is having a bedtime routine and try letting baby cry a little. You don't have to do full on cry it out, but 5 or 10 minutes might wear him out enough to finally sleep. The thing is, if you never let him practice, he won't figure it out, and you'll be stuck rocking him, co sleeping, etc.

Ok probably not great advice but maybe the part on sleep patterns may help in understanding what you're up against ? ссылка

My little guy is the same exact way! The only way I can get him to sleep is if he's in the swing. Then he will give me anywhere between 1-5 hours. He is so unpredictable.

Your not alone :(

I'm struggling but since thi is my third I know phases like this come and go and I am just trying to get through this. Ugh! Right when you get used to something baby decides it's times to change things up. Lol

Mine too. I'm so jealous of everyone who has a lo that follows the standard 5-6 hours and then some. I battle my little man every night trying to get him to sleep in the co sleeper. One night this week I got three hours, the longest I've gotten since he was probably 3 weeks old. I was so excited thinking maybe we were getting over this. Then, last night, I battled him until 130am. Putting him in there and him waking up within 5-10 min, rocking him and doing it again. I finally gave up at 130 and put him in bed with me. It's the only way he'll sleep and even then I only get 3ish hours. I don't want to bed share, in fact, I hate it. It makes me nervous because of all the warnings and I'd never forgive myself, but I have to for my sanity. I started back to work this week and have to be up at 5, I can't battle him like that every night. I'm exhausted and just think how much easier the day would be if I could get 5-6 solid hours of sleep. It's so exhausting. I've tried everything, and I feel your pain. So glad I'm not alone!

I know they're not supposed to, but would he sleep in a swing?

I don't have any advice because I am in the exact same boat ? my little guy just doesn't sleep and I've tried everything except letting him cry it out

I'm sorry, that is frustrating! If he'll only sleep while you hold him at night, then that's what I would do. My lo naps great if I hold her during the day, but will also wake up within 5 minutes if I try to lay her down. She sleeps on her tummy at night.
