Decently priced electric pump ??

Decently priced electric pump ??

Can anyone recommend a good electric pump - double preferably- and that's not too expensive ? I was looking into the first years quiet expressions pump but the reviews are terrible

Spectra S2 is decent price and a great pump. Closed system and very quiet.

I recommend the spectra s 1. When I bought it it was $163 on Amazon. I have an Hygeia enjoy as well, & I would say I get the same output from the spectra as I do from the Hygeia. However the spectra has some features that are cool, & I feel the pumping experience is more comfortable even though the milk output is about the same. So I would say Spektor all the way. I think the only difference between the s1 and the s2 is the internal battery. So if you don't need the internal battery I think you can get away with spending like $130?

The prescription should be easy to get! I asked my Dr. for one at my last prenatal appointment and he whipped out his prescription pad and wrote it no questions asked. I can't imagine a situation where it would be "medically necessary" considering formula feeding is also a viable option for raising a healthy baby. The prescription is pretty much just a formality.

My insurance doesn't cover a pump unless I get a prescription saying its medically necessary and even then they said they may not cover the full price

I got the first year quiet pump free through my insurance. I was worried about it when I got it, but it did great for me. The only complaint was I couldn't find any of the bottles like it came with. I had to always store my milk in another bottle so I can have the ones it came with free for when I pumped. It was very quiet too.

You should be able to get a free one through insurance. I got the Medela pump in style advance for free and I love it

I love my evenflo double electric. Its a closed system and its pretty quiet compared to my medela that I hated.

I have one I'm selling. medela pump in style advance. I tried it once (I was hand pumping), and breastfeeding didn't work for me.
