bad mom moments!! We are not perfect moms. What have been some of your mommy mistakes/bad mom moments??

4 years ago I use to let my newborn sleep in a boppy pillow I thought I was genius. Turns out kids die like that and it's not recommend although I recommended it to friends ?

My son stays up until midnight sometimes he is up after me and SO pass out on the couch waiting for him to go to bed and he gets into stuff, I told my doctor he said to give him 1mg of melatonin every night for a week to form a bed time habit then stop.. so I buy it at give him one at 7 pm last night I go in his room and he's OUT at 7:15 I start to panic as I thought I've drugged him! I'm thinking to myself I should have never done this! I call my mom hysterical she starts to laugh.. she says when you dropped him off this morning it was 630am and he stayed up and didn't nap so he's exhausted. she says he normally doesn't wake up until 10am and I let him nap for 2 hours that's why he doesn't sleep normally ???? bad mom moment or bad Gma moment? Lol

I let my SO give her a taste of ice cream last week. She's almost 7 months. He wouldn't stop trying to give it to her I was practically yelling at him telling him she can't have it. He pushed so much I finally said 'fine. But you are changing her diapers today and tomorrow.' I anticipated lactose intolerance poops! And sure enough she had nasty ones. I feel so bad I let him give it to her.

I let dd watch cartoons more than she should be able to. She's obssessed with Mickey Mouse clubhouse, doc mcstuffins, and peppa pig. Pretty sure she's going to start calling me "mummy" pretty soon

Ugh my dd ate the whole box of brownies all by herself ? I didn't know until I seen the box. Can I say I will never have any sweets in her arm reach anymore

Oh, and my.oldest started solids at 4 months. It was per her dr's [at the time] recommendation, but seriously, I wish I would have done more of my own research with my oldest 2, instead of whole heartedly going with everything the dr and my mom told me.

I cringe looking at pictures of my oldest 2 in their infant seats. Chest clips places wrong, after market head rest, we rear faced at 1. Then after joining here, they both went back to rear facing til they turned 4.

I bed share, she nurses to sleep (I need to figure out how to stop that one soon though), I've let her have cheese its, she occasionally watches t.v. in the morning if I'm exhausted..I'm sure there's more, I'm horrible. Lol

I recently had a bad momma moment lol. I was at the grocery store with my mom and son me and him were eating while she went in but once we were done we decided to go in and she already took all her things phone CAR KEYS purse .. Needless to say i opened my door hit the lock button for the doors not even thinkimg i shut my door an go to open my sons and its locked. I litterally locked my son in the car ? i sat there for 5 mins telling him open the dang door and he just sat there laughing saying no. I look for my phone so i can call my mom so she can bring me keys and what do you know. I fergot i let him watch curious george on it. I stood outside that door grimming the crap out of this child for 12mins till my mom came out and she laughed the whole way home. Once she opened the door my son had the biggest smile on his face amd said 'hi mommy' like no, dont hi me i want to kick your little butt!!

I looked in ds's baby book a while back, and apparently I gave him sweet tea at 5.5 months old. ?

With dd1, I let her have more sweets than she should have.

With dd2, I let her have a taste of my frozen yogurt a few days back. She's 4.5 months old.

I'll take my mom of the year award now. ??

We are not perfect moms. What have been some of your mommy mistakes/bad mom moments??

With my first I put him on top of a shopping cart, I couldn't see and I crashed into some boxes and he almost fell. That was the first and last time I ever did that.

Also with my first I put a blanket on him. I woke up and checked on him the whole blanket was on his face he was already breathing heavily. Scariest moment of my life. Thank god I woke up. And never again did I put a blanket until he was 2.

Both my kids have fallen from the bed first at 3 months old 2nd at 6 months old.
