I ordered an organic castor oil online and applied it straight to my scalp where I was balding.

How about biotin? It helped when the hairdresser took a razor to my bangs and they kept breaking off. It's for hair, skin, and nails.

For those that have tried castor oil, is it the laxative you're referring to? Just apply it to the scalp?

It'll get better! Mine was terrible, as well..started at 3 months pp. My hair started looking normal again, but a little thinner, around 8/9 months pp. It was really awkward as it grew back, too! I looked like a spring chicken, with little hairs sticking up everywhere around my face. I wore a ton of headbands and knot ems. I had the worst receding hairline, ever. Even parting my hair differently didn't hide them.

Are you breastfeeding op? along with taking your prenatal and castor oil I'd look into a vitamin called MSM. I haven't gone through pp hair lost but msm is really good for our body's and also helps with hair growth.

Get your thyroid checked. Just as it can get wacky during pregnancy it can get wacky after the baby. Hair loss is a sign of thyroid issues.

If it's not that, I see some girls post on a supplement for hair/nail growth.

I've seen some people put some matte dark eye makeup (that matches your own hair color) when there in thin hair, makes it look a lot thicker! I would do that in the meantime, until it grows back

Yes continue your vitamins esp if your nursing. My hair got that bad too. It was on both sides of my head. It's only now starting to grow back and my sons 22mths old

This isn't even extreme, believe it or not. It's so scary when you first realize you've lost this much hair. Seriously go get yourself castor oil. If you want I can tell you the one I used. I was able to get it cheaper on Amazon so I can send you a link. It promotes hair growth.

Are you still taking your prenatals? That helps. Nioxin shampoo, conditioner, and treatment are pretty good. I used that last time and it stopped the shedding.
