Should I Try IVF Again Now or Wait? Seeking Advice on Frozen Sperm
Need your positive thoughts
ladies, I need your help making a decision. My husband had a kidney transplant a month ago. He’s on medication that causes birth defects, which means we can’t use his sperm for 5-6 months (2 months on the meds + 3 months for it to leave his system). Now, I just came out of my first and failed IVF cycle, producing just one blastocyst that didn’t stick ? (out of 11 eggs retrieved). I was testing on the day he was in surgery. I need to get back in and try again with our frozen sperm, but the doctor thinks waiting 6 months and trying naturally might be an idea. I truly don’t see any point in trying naturally, as I’ve been looking at bfn’s for 6 years. Also at 39, my chances are declining. Shall I go for another ivf cycle now, using DH’s frozen sperm? Is frozen sperm just as good as fresh, or am I wasting my money? Any success stories with frozen sperm? I can’t wait 6 months ... it’s so hard waiting at all when you’ve been desperate for your rainbow baby for years and years ?

I’m going to go against the grain and say I would wait. The frozen sperm would not deter me, but my husband’s opinion would. In one of your comments you mentioned him wanting to wait. Knowing he has been through a major surgery, i wouldn’t go against my husband’s wishes.
