Pumping help!

I am breastfeeding and my girl doesn't tolerate milk protein. We tried formula for when I am gone and she took it fine the first couple times but now she won't drink it at all. I need to get a stash going for when I go and tutor but I'm not sure when to pump? I know most people say pump on the side she is not nursing on but I give her both sides in a feeding? She goes about 3 hours in between so when do I pump??

30 minutes to an hour after a feeding and in the morning.

You can pump while nursing as others originally advised; It's just recommended to give both sides until your supply is established. Pumping while nursing is almost the same as giving her both sides except the second serving is going into a bottle. She will get used to it and drink longer on one side.

Pump after feeding. You'll have to do it a few times a day to get enough to store, but it will help your supply. At least, it did for me!

I feed both sides too, I try to pump when I wake up in the morning because I'm really engorged and he only eats one side then, and sometimes I can pump one more bottle in the evening. Honestly though I've tried pumping after feeding and I can barely get anything out ? the only time the pump really works for me is if I'm engorged.

I was told to pump first thing in the morning after feeding him. Your production should b highest then.
