Depends on a lot but in my experience progressive wasn't great never had a claim when I was on a policy with my dad I got a snapshot discount of 26% on my car alone. Went on my own policy no discount infact got an increase for a car that in 6 months travelled a grand total of 70 yes seventy miles. And my rate went up every 6 months without a reason

Oh I have MetLife now and my rate has been cut by $140 and change a month

How does someone's insurance drop $160 a month? I only pay $100 a month for a 43k ford explorer. I never even paid much more when I turned 16. I've always had full coverage and drove a newer car.

USAA, but only if you or family members have been in the military. That's the only way you can get it

@ahead The cost of insurance is very dependent on where you lived. Mine nearly tripled when we moved states despite clean driving records.

OP, I have Horace Mann. I think you have to be an educator to get it though.
