He's here! Arrived at 36 weeks exactly today at 10:22am via emergency c-section. Sent to L&D yesterday after my NST due to heavy contractions and elevated blood pressure. This morning, despite their best efforts, the contractions were still going, although I was not dilating. Pierce Thomas weighed in at 7lbs 4oz and is 20in long. Only issue is there is believed to be fluid still in his lungs that needs to be cleared out, so for now he is in the NICU. I am hopeful that Charlie gets to meet his little brother tomorrow.

Thanks all. I have been released from the hospital, but he still has a few more days in the NICU. Missing my little guy so very much!

I remember you replied to my post about having a low placenta, just wondering if they ever told you that might have caused you to go into labor earlier? I'm due the 31st but I'm so ready to have her this is my 3rd in a row, I have a 2yr oldand 1 yrs old and this momma is pooped ! Lol

Melissa, that was my due date too! With this one, I did not have a low placenta. That was with my February son. I had an anterior placenta this time around, but I have a tendency to labor around 36 weeks. Last time I was lucky he wanted to bake a little longer.
He is coming home tomorrow after 9 days in the NICU. I am so excited! Also a bit nervous that my son will not take kindly to having a newborn in the house to share his attention. They still have not met yet.
