My Muslim ladies...

I've mentioned before that a large portion of my in laws are Muslim. Up until this year, we lived near all of them and got together frequently at the holidays (Christian and Muslim) to spend time as a family. We moved across the country this summer so our family get togethers have ended. I am writing out our Christmas cards and I have all of their families on the list, but I don't want to offend with a Christmas card. I considered not sending one at all, but it has pictures of my children in it which I know they would appreciate. What should I do? Send the card and hope they understand my reason for sending it? Find an alternative way to send to pics to them without Christmas involved?

Send the card. There's nothing wrong with receiving a Christmas card even if we don't celebrate it. It's got pictures of your kids im sure they would love it. I would definitely send one xx

Thanks, rasheda. I don't normally second guess myself, but I just wanted to make sure.

Hmm if it were my in laws (FIL more) he wouldn't appreciate it but he's FOB Arab & Muslim so he's very particular about things. I'd ask him if he wants it rather than just send it OR cut out the Christmas part.

But do whatever you feel is right

I'm not Muslim but I don't celebrate Christmas. My friends send me Christmas cards and I am not offended by it.

I know my sisters in law would appreciate it and I'm fairly certain that my bros in law would be ok with it-I don't think they care about seeing the kids as much as my sis do. Lol

I asked my husband and he just shrugged. (Thanks, babe. Lol)

Well its kind of hard to ask that, everyone is different and everyone gets offended by different things. Just because some don't get offended doesn't mean they wont.

You know them better then us, do you think they would take it the wrong way? I would send them pictures but not with anything that has to do with Christmas just to be on the safe side. ☺

If they were ok with celebrating all holidays with you guys while you were living closer I'm sure they won't get offended. I think they'll really like the fact that even though you've moved away your still involved them. Xx

Are u sending pictures in the card or are you doing pictures of the kids as the card? I would just get plain holiday cards that say happy holidays or like a picture of Christmas decorations just in case if you think anyone would be offended.
