pets during Irma
I have this terrible fear that if something happens to our place during Irma that we won't be able to save all of our pets ?
Honestly, with the macaw I would consider using a pillow case just to capture her and get her into her crate. That will be your quickest way of crating her. I worked as a vet tech before and some bird owners would bring their birds in a pillow case. With the cats I would put them in their crates if it's starting to get really bad just so you're prepared. Leaving your house during the storm is the last thing you'll want to do though unless your roof is being ripped off or something. Your safest in your home rather than on the road.
Thanks pp i think i will crate everyone in advance. I don't know why i didn't think of that. To many things to think about i guess.
But yes we would only be leaving if, like you said, our house is being obliterated.
