Yes its a strawberry birthmark.

My oldest girl had one a Lil after birth on her left thigh...

It was fairly big..

But now that she is older(5) it has lightened up and went down but still there...

Its they're own uniqueness to them ???

My daughter has one of the back of her neck. My Dr called them stork bites. Lol

My son has a similar one on his forearm. At birth they though it was a bruise. We went to see a dermatologist just in case, and they said it was completely harmless and should shrink with time. Also when he is older, he could get it laser removed but we will see.

I have a Strawberry birthmark on my neck.Doctors told my mum it would dissappear at seem point but it never had although it's not raised anymore. It kinda looks like a burn now I'm 34 soon xx

I had a strawberry mark on my arm when I was little, it faded out and disappeared when I was about ten. I don't know why I had it but it was harmless

Like previous users have said - it's a hemangioma. My daughter had multiple ones. It needs to be seen by a pediatric dermatologist to make sure it doesn't ulcerate. My daughter is six and still has hers. They have gotten better over the years - but are still watched. They don't always go away.

I have one just like that. Never went away but it's not raised either.

A strawberry birth mark. My first had a small one on his eye lid. Completely faded before he turned a year. My second had an enormous one in the crease of his arm. He's 16 months now and you can barely see it.

It can't be a hicky it's been on her wrist for over a week.

Looks to me to be a strawberry birthmark. I could be wrong though. My DD has one by her eye. It showed up about a week after she was born. They usually grow for the first year (usually raising, they don't spread wider over the skin) and then slowly shrink and go away. Most are gone by school age. If you are interested in treatment it should be done early but treatment isn't necessary unless the mark interferes with an organ or if that's what the parents think is best (my DD was treated because it could have pressed on her eye as it grew but I probably would have treated either way) My DD was on nadolol and it went from looking like a large, round red berry next to her eye (at its largest) to a flat and pretty birthmark in no time). Talk to your doctor and don't Google it. The things on Google are really scary but because of the size and placement you probably have nothing to get too worried over. Could be a strawberry birthmark my daughter had one in her armpit but we noticed it as soon she was born and was gone by the time she was 18months

Could it be a hickey? My kids occasionally sucked on their arms until they appeared when they were super little. That was my first thought when i opened the post.

Nope, it has gotten a little lighter but still a noticeable light pink when you lift up her hair.

That's what it look like yo me but you would have to press on it. If it goes away then returns after you press.. Could be a port wine stain. If it remains while you press and doesn't change color.. Hemangioma. Both my dds had one and one of my dds has a PWS.

Stork bite. DD had three. One on her eye lid and two on the back of her head. The eye one is gone and the other two are shrinking. Shes 4 months old.

The doctor said they may go away or not but since their on her head it won't matter

Dd1 had this at the base of her head and she's 2 now and it's gone.

Birth mark. Dd2 has one between her eyebrows and another on the nape of her neck.

Dd has one on the nape of her neck, everyone I asked said it was a birth Mark/ angel kiss.

It's still there 2 years later

It's also not one solid color. It's stringy like a bunch of blood vessels.

It looks like a hemangioma. Dd1's looked exactly like this right when she was born. It's in the center of her chest. It takes about a month or two for it to raise up. Don't be alarmed when it does. By a year old, dd1's started disappearing from the inside and it's still ever so slowly working its way from the inside out disappearing.
