I still can’t believe I’m writing this right now, but at our ultrasound yesterday afternoon we heard the most feared words for any pregnancy, “There’s no heartbeat.” We looked at the ultrasound tech in disbelief. We had just heard that beautiful heartbeat exactly 9 days ago at our previous ultrasound. The tech said the baby measured 11 weeks, meaning it’s heart stopped the day after that ultrasound. I had the D&C this morning and we are sending it out for genetic testing to see if we can get any answers as to why this happened.
