So my doctor wants me to chart for the next 2 cycles, and if I'm not pg she is going to start looking into things. I asked about a home test since insurance won't cover it, and she said it could be a good idea to help know how important an official one would be. Looking them up there seems to be two types. One that's kinda like a hpt. One or 2 lines, pass or fail. One has a microscope, and info to get an idea of count, motility, and concentration. $40 for the first-$80 for the second. I don't want to spend a lot, but I am also afraid of spending less, and not getting an answer. (i read the cheaper one can be hard to read -like a hpt) Any one have any experience with these??

Wow, dh's was $283 at our REs office. no insurance

Thanks for the info ladies! I'm going to see how dh feels about it. If he'd rather have a "trial run" privately at home, or if he is fine going straight to the office. Usually everything at the doctor's is so pricey I was thinking it would be hundreds of dollars.

ask how much they would charge, our fiest one was 50 at our lical hospital no insurance

Hubby just went through 2 SAs at $150/ea, so I understand. Those at home tests don't tell you about morphology or motility, etc

We were waiting one more cycle to do one but our dr said about $100. I don't think I'd mess with trying on my own. I don't even trust my opk or hpt!

Insurance didn't cover our SA. It cost around $100-125, out of pocket. We got the results the very next day. I didn't think the price was too bad, considering what we pay for everything else, plus you don't have to guess about the accuracy of the results. We live in Edmond, OK.

U said one at home test is 80 when my hubby got his SA done at the doc the test was only 100 for the doc to do it and I got insurance but for s reason we had to pay the 100 outta pocket. Ur doc test must b more than 100?

Diaper bags?? So I am looking for a diaper bag (a cute and stylish one) more of a tote bag but have no idea where to start looking and what a decent price is to spend on one? What are some of you other mommas getting (or already have) I really want a cute one, I am not so much plain jane I want a cute pattern and pretty much it to look like an oversized purse with tons of pockets and such!
