BBT and restless sleep

I was thinking I'd like to chart, but I'm not sure if it's worth bothering with since I am a restless sleeper. Has anyone charted with this problem?? Should I temp in the am, or maybe the first time I get up? Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks for the advice. I have read TCOYF, and in fact am using her site's charting tools. I rarely sleep for 3 hours straight. I feel pretty certain I o from other signs (especially the c section scar pain that come right on time!) I think I'm going to try first thing in the morning (I don't need a clock, you could set one to me!) for a month-then maybe first time I get up (tends to be my longest sleep) At least it will give me something to do other than bd while waiting hoping and praying for bfp.

There's been times that my son will wake up at 4:45. I'll temp and write it down. Then I'll temp at my usual time 5:30 and its the same sometimes even the 2nd temp is little lower. But you need at least 3 hours of sleep.

Actually it's as long as you've slept 3 hours with out disturbances. Meaning getting up for any reason or waking up longer than it takes to roll over. The fact is no one sleeps perfectly still all night. You will need to set your alarm to ensure you wake up at the same time every day to temp. I don't normally wake up till after 7 am but noticed that I start to toss and turn any time after 5 waking up for periods of 10 or more minutes. So I set my alarm for 5 am and temp and then go back to sleep. You should read the book taking charge of your fertility and go to fertilityfriend.com and do the tutorials.

As long as you've slept for 4 straight hrs & I've done it even if I didn't & it was fine. As long as you don't move much you're good. Honestly I don't think it's all worth it as long as you know you o just bd every other day.
