My doctor cut both of mines, I had a c-section. But they did leave some length and my husband was able to cut it towards the clamps

DD1 the dr did. She passed meconium inside so they said they had to do it quick to check her and make sure she was okay

With DS my midwife offered for DD1 to do it but I couldn't persuade her so I said I'd love to do it.

The doctor. I had a c-section. They asked him if he wanted to before it but my fiancé wasn't having it. Although he did surprise me when the anesthesiologist told him his daughter was about to be born, and he JUMPED UP to look over the curtain and whipped out his phone.

One of the best moments of my life. He told me wasn't going to look. It made me so happy because I knew I wouldn't be able to see, but his reaction was everything.

My dh cut the umbilical cord for our first and second. But my third came out with his cord around his neck and he was dark blue. So the dr quickly cut it and they started giving him oxygen

The Royal Midwife and her assistants must disconnect each of my spawn sacks as I birth them by biting them, which is why she needs assistance in the first place. It must be tiring on her jaw after the first several hundred birth sacks.

For dd2, we plan on it being him but if he doesn't make it in time then my mom or best friend will.

One of DD's arms was up by her face with the umbilical cord wrapped around it so my doctor had to cut it on her way out. I don't think SO wanted to anyway ?

Dd1 - doc, dh didn't feel up to it, but he did end up cutting the remaining piece that was still attached to her belly once they we're cleaning her up.

I had an emergency c-section but was awake for it. The doctor cut the cord first, but they had DH cut it as well afterward, to shorten it, maybe?... I dunno, but I have photos.

My dh did with our first son. Our second son, as he was being delivered his heart rate slowed down too much and mine started going to fast so it was quickly turning bad so they got the forceps and got him out and quickly cut the cord themselves.
