I had no idea when I was getting mine.. they didn't give me instructions to not eat.. I showed up yesterday & they told me I was doing the glucose test. They didn't ask if I ate breakfast or anything..

I fasted only cause I don't east breakfast and my appointment is always early in the morning. I was told I could eat like normal. But nothing with sugar.

I fasted only because I wasn't sure and definitely didn't want to have to take the test again lol. But as a op suggested, do what your doctor tells you.

You don't have to fast or you'll pass out. Just be smart about what you what before you go in. I would stay away from bananas, sugary cereals, and donuts lol.

Mine told me the same, but don't eat food high in starches and sugars the day before our the day of.

I eat Eggs and passed it. My Dr told me not to fast either.

You don't HAVE to fast, some people do because they think it'll ensure they don't have to do the 3 hour test. Just don't eat or drink anything sugary before... And try to get it first thing in the morning if possible so you don't eat much anyway. I had my appointment at 10am and just had a little plain yogurt to hold me over til it was done.
