Hollywood gush (waters) I'm curious as to how many people had the Hollywood gush, trickled waters, broken in hospital…

I was dreaming i was peeing but it was my waters, strange feeling and went everywhere when i stood up xxx

My first the night before his due date i went to sit down on my mams new sofa and felt and heard a pop and they gushed he was here by 6am on his due date..

My second baby was 12 days over and went into hospital was 2cm dialated so she broke my waters for me they were a horrible colour he'd been in his own poop. 2 and a half hours later he was born.. Xx

All 3 of my waters just went, the first 2 babies they went in the bath & didn't realise until afterwards (I was very much in labour tho). With my 3 rd they went whilst I was laid in bed, I stood up & it was like I was weeing! No contractions at that point, started with very mild ones. I needed a hormone drip which took me from from less than 3cms to delivery in under 45 mins x

Mine were broken in hospital about 6-7 cms I think.

Mine went with a gush in hospital. Had been having contractions for 14 hours and baby was born 40 mins after waters went xx

Mine broke naturally waiting to be seen by the doctors in the waiting room and it was a big gush haha. 1 hour later I had my baby xx

Mine went after they examined me, just a tiny bit at first then they gave me a pad, I had a huge contraction and soaked through the pad, my underwear and trousers. Then they gave me two pads, and I soaked through them in about five seconds. When I say it went everywhere, I was sitting on the sofa in their little family room and I soaked the sofa (luckily it was leather) there was a pool on the floor. It had gone all up my back and down my legs. It was crazy. Then it stopped until I started pushing the first few times and I soaked the hospital bed and then again when his shoulders came out it was like someone burst a water balloon.

I was carrying A LOT of water though, I mean loadsssss x

I was in bed I heard a pop then it gushed out all over the bed ? ahha x

My waters broke with a gush at 35 weeks! I was induced and my so. Was born at 35+4!

I didn't even know my waters had gone! Luckily I was in hospital anyway and the midwife checked me lol x

Both times my waters had to be broken I was so disappointed i wanted a dramatic gush lol xxx

I never had a problem with them I thought they were really nice (staff) the hospital isn't the nicest, it's so old.. but they do try their best. If ever I have anymore in years to come I'm going to have to deliver in Telford more than likely with them merging ? xx

I woke at 5am to a long trickling sensation that I couldn't stop, but hospital said it was watery plug rather than waters. 54hrs of slow labour later I was 7cm dilated and had my waters broken for me. Our daughter was born a further 11hrs later x

@ Abbiel what is Shrewsbury hospital like as I may have to deliver there this time...I have only ever heard bad things lol x

Mine went naturally, I turned over in the middle of the night and then bam! Literally..!!! it's as if someone had opened the flood gates. The mattress was sodden and I went through 6 pairs of knickers in the 10m car journey to the hospital. Poor royal shrewsbury hospital had a big puddle at their maternity reception desk! ?

Mine broke and I thought I'd wet myself. It wasnt a gush but it was quite a strong flow like a wee.

I had to have mine broke when I was in labour and the relief I felt was amazing lol. I don't even know how far dilated I was when they did it though x

Mine broke naturally with my second.

With my first it was so painful when they broke them!

I went to the loo after walking around ALL day and I had wee then it just carried on .. took me a min to realise what was going on! Ha ha no contractions so was induced 24 hours later! Was a very long time for me between waters going n baby here! Waters went at 6pm sat n born 1025am Monday! I'm hoping this time round they will go handily on the toilet again ha ha x

Mines broke in the car on the way to hospital but it wasnt until i stood up from the car at the hospital it started runnin down my legs. There wasnt a gush or anythin tho justcfelt wet when sittin then it ran down my legs wen i got up x

Both of my previous pregnancies my waters went ( I didn't hear a pop but there was around a cup full of water) I don't go into labour for 36hours with both my children after waters breaking. My first child I laboured naturally the day before they were going to induce but my second baby I didn't go into labour within 48hours of water going so was Induced. I lost about half a cup of water every hour for the whole 36hours after them breaking lol x

My hind waters went when I was bouncing on my birthing ball and war going tv in the livening room. They trickled for ages!! Ended up being induced as labour didn't start then my front waters went everywhere!! I kept running to the toilet shouting at my hubby coz I had soaked through 5 pairs of knickers lol xx

Oh that reminds me, my first actually came out still in her sack,she may have been born completely in her waters if they hadn't ruptured them earlier on. It appears that I have 'waters of steel' and they don't like to go on their own!

With my first they were ruptured for me in order to help me to dilate quicker as I'd been stuck at 4cm for hours, labour was much quicker after they went. With my second I'm sure my hindwaters went the night before I went in to labour as I kept feeling this trickling sensation and was damp 'down there' but not enough for it to be my forewaters, I woke up at 4:30am the next morning with contractions but my forewaters had to be ruptured for me whilst I was pushing as the midwife said they were "stopping baby from coming" once again labour went quickly after they had gone! x

I woke up for what I thought was a wee at 5.50 one morning, but it just didn't stop! Lol! That was my waters, they kept trickling for hours! Then I got in the birthing pool so didn't notice after that! XxX

With dd (1st baby) mine trickled when was sittin down, then i stood up they gushed and at the hospital the hind waters went with a massive gush when i was pushing. . (Although the forewaters tend to gush, and hindwaters tend to slowly leak with most women), with ds (2nd baby) mine gushed as i was pushing, literally i was standing up and they popped and when the water hit the floor it splashed back at everyone n thats not even an exageration. I wonder what this one will be like next week, hopefully they will go on their own!

Bot mine have broke when I got up to go to the loo. 1st was 9:30pm watching supper nanny at the ads got up for a wee. the second 5:30am just woke up for a wee. Currently 35 weeks and don't wanna be far from home in case it happens again ( had my kids at 36+6 and 35+1)

When my mum was pregnant with my little sister, her waters broke while she was in bed with me reading a bedtime story. My dad was in the pub at the time lol.

Both of mine were natural, at the beginning of labour. My first was in the bath (had a ripple of water lol). Second was dramatic at my dads dining room table. We were sat with all the family, night before my induction. They went while waiting for dinner to be served lol. Everyone was running around so excited lol. I was starving! She was born only 3 hours later though.

Mine broke naturally 12 hours after contractions started whilst I was sitting in the bath, (very handy!) went with a pop and one big gush, no trickling afterwards xx

I was staying at my mums for Christmas and I was asleep, I half woke up at 4am thinking id wet myself. No idea why considering ive not done that since I was a toddler. Anyway I sat up to take my bottoms off and felt a really big gush come out. And I instantly knew my waters had gone. I shouted my oh who was sleeping on the floor. He jumped up and turned the light on and I was sat in this huge puddle of slimy pink tinged fluid. I just said 'I want my mum!' Lol

I was having mild random contractions when my midwife sent me in to be monitored, I was found to be bulging so they kept me in. Just before midnight I had my show and then 10minutes later whilst I was trying to sleep they gushed out with no warning. After that my contractions were every 30seconds and I was rushed for c section as breech. It scared the life out of me lol x

Mine went with no warning at all on the living room floor. Was like niagra falls!!!! Didn't even have a twinge bar a slight backache for the whole day before. She was born almost exactly 24 hours later!

With my first ds they popped and gushed as I retched into the loo to be sick during a contraction (glamorous lol!) my second I don't know as they went when I was in the water and pushing lo out xx

Was contracting for 12 hours went to the toilet , my musuc plug fell out and then a big gush of alot of water (was a very strange feeling) if i had been standing up it would of looked like it did on the films lol

I started contracting in the morning, went to hospital, by afternoon I was 10cm but waters still hadn't gone. Around 4 hours of being fully dilated they said if they didn't go they would break them for me to speed it up. I begged to go to the toilet first and they broke whilst on the loo! They fell out like a large sac. I'm not even sure what quite happened, it was just a ball of water which popped when it hit the toilet basin! I've since googled and apparently this is very rare! I still didn't actually give birth until another 3-4 hours! I was fully dilated a long time! Xx

I was having strong contractions at home. Hospital said it 'didn't sound like I was in labour' and wouldn't let me go in. Pop, then gush — that was my waters going — they soon changed their minds (— I arrived 10cm dilated!) x

FTM mines broke naturally and were a trickle for about 3 days, hospital didn't believe me the first time I went in as no pooling of waters on internal examination, continued to happen so went in again same no pooling but took a swab and it came back positive for amniotic fluid. Had to get started after 72 hours and no contractions.

My first to were broken at the hospital and my third gushed just as I got to hospital xx

I had just gone to wee came back to bed and I literally heard POP then water gushed everywhere... It was scary as i was still 36weeks baby came same day.

Yeah mine broke with a gush with first labour when i got up for a wee in the night. I had just stepped into the bathroom & missed our brand new hall carpet by an inch! Lol! 2nd & 3rd labours, waters didnt break til minutes before the girls were born xxx

With my son my waters broke naturally whilst I was in bed. I had just gone for a wee got into bed lied down and felt like I was weeing again was a little confused so stood up and my waters we're leaking. They leaked for 2 days non stop until I had my son. Went through so many pads.

I had my first broken in hospital but my 2nd & 3rd gushed during labour and baby was born minutes later. My friends waters did the Hollywood gush while standing next to me in asda, they literally exploded we heard the pop and everything. scared the crap out of both of us as she wasn't due for 3 weeks baby was born 3 hours later x
