odd colored teeth coming through!

Hi, my baby is 8 months and has his 2 bottom teeth and 2 top ones either side of the front 2. He is now cutting his 2 top teeth but thet look brown ! I mean they look like there going to be rotton... he eats healthily no juice or anything he doesnt suck or chew on bottles for long so i have no idea why this could be but its really upsetting 2 think he could have brown teeth. Anyone have any experiences similar or any ideas what i could do. Im not even sure if id take him to the doctors or a dentist. He also doesnt like opening his mouth much he always tries to keep it tight shut, even when he smiles. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.xx

My daughter has a tooth like this at the front and also two teeth at the back with big holes in the side of the teeth. The dentist reassured me that it's nothing we are doing, it's because she picked up an infection while I was carrying her. X

It could be lack of enamel, my son was born with a cleft lip and the tooth next to the gap has a yellow/brown stain on it which is from the lack of enamel, it's very common with cleft children so we have fluoride put on his teeth every 3 months.
Keep brushing them as well as you can and when he is old enough take him to the dentist x

My little girl is the same she's 4 and her two front teeth are pretty much black took her dentist and he tried telling me it was bottle rot but she got rid of her bottle at 18 months but she did have a dummy till she was 3 so that played a part in it. It is upsetting because my daughters nursery pulled me and said lexis teeth look rotten and I felt ashamed but it wasent my fault. The dentist told me that once they fall out her big teeth will be normal colour xx

My first baby had this. Front two teeth were brown when they came in and in the small size - looked like "bottle rot" but she never had a bottle or sugary things!! Dentist was never too concerned & said must just have been a developmental thing in the womb (as I hadn't taken any antibiotics which could have been another cause!!). Her big teeth have now come in and are normal colour!!
