What age child on buggy board?

What age where your children when they used a buggy board thing? Iv never had one but im due in sept and my daughter will be around 21 months. I really dont want a double buggy, there so expensive and i have a feeling i wont even need it for 2 long. Im thinkin of just gettin a double stroller maybe for long days out but generally we'r not normally out on long walks or anything, school runs everyday and town trips which i use a bus and its only a few hours normally. I know it would probably be easier having a double 2 use all the time but i really cant find any i like at a decent price or even anything that will be practical for me. Think i have a double buggy phobia ? x

Thanks for all the replies ladies I definitely feel more confident with my idea of just using a single buggy, part of me was thinking this is going to be impossible but im relieved that it works for some of you guys, im sure il manage ! And definitely going to look into the wraps im just scared about baby sliding out or something lol x

Yeah I wouldn't trust Aubrey on a buggy board! Ha! Yes clothes shopping for me! I know it's probably not really gonna happen! I bought a Tula carrier, that was highly recommended to me? I haven't used mine yet but My sil has just bought one too, she used the other day and loved it! xx

I have a 25 month age gap & we never had a double....just used a buggy board or sling when older one needed a ride!

I do have another cheap stroller tho and we occasionally used that (eg on hols). If you walk miles & miles every day it might be different for you tho. My hubby was just dead set against getting one, so we agreed we see how we went and all was fine!

I'm due in July and my son will be 3 in August we have got him a buggy board but was considering a double just due to him being able to get off when he feels like it and he hates walking xx

My boy was 2 years old on the buggy board and my LG was 18 months.

A close caboo is lovely for a newborn - I'm still using it at nearly 6 months!

Pushchair wise, I've got a joovy caboose which has a built in board and seat, may be worth a look. I've also had a few other doubles and I loved my Phil and teds tandem as it can be a single or double. We picked up one really cheap second hand in amazing condition xx

I'm using a buggy board with my son who will be 2 & half when his sister is born, but I will be using a carrier a lot so he will still get to use the buggy when she's in the wrap ? he loves walking though, would run everywhere if he could so I'm not concerned about managing days out with two x

Yea i did think about a sling/wrap too, can anyone recommend any as iv never used 1 of these before either so dont kno where 2 start ! I know it would be a lot less hassel having a double but i think id prefer to do the buggy board or have the eldest in a single with a sling for baby !x

My eldest had just turned 2 when my youngest was born and he couldn't be trusted on a buggy board (ran off at every opportunity) so we got a double buggy.

A few months before he turned 3, we starting using the buggy board. He hasn't been in a buggy since x

I've gone for the baby carrier option! Which is great for the school run but now I'm thinking what about when I need to go shopping and want to try clothes on? I've got no where to put the baby? x

I would just use a single stroller for your eldest and a baby carrier/sling for baby X

I think it depends on the child really, I use one with my 3 year old, he wouldn't have been responsible enough to use it at 2 I don't think! Have you considered a wrap? I bought a second hand double phil & teds but I've not really used it all that much I tend to either use the buggy with the buggy board or if my big one gets tired I lift the little one out the buggy and carry her in the baby wrap and I put him in the buggy!
