I definitely recommending letting your hr department know, that way you can use your PDL (pregnancy disability leave).

I'm sorry you aren't feeling well! If it continues, I would suggest either confiding in your supervisor so they know your situation or, if you're not comfortable telling your supervisor, tell HR. They should be able to work with you discreetly and explain what benefits you're entitled to if you end up needing to take time off work or switch some of your duties.

I sucked on lollipops religiously! Peppermints help a whole lot as well. I'm not a cracker and ginger ale kind of girl unless I feel like I'm dying so that's a last resort to me lol. Hope you get some relief mama.

I told my boss at 6 weeks just so she could be aware that I needed to take it is- but I told her not to tell anyone else

I just have to say, I brush and floss and brush again when I'm going into the dentist lol. I will even swish mouthwash. And if I can't do all that I suck on mints up until my appointment. I can't imagine going into the dentist with bad breath! No wonder you are wanting to vomit. That's nasty! I yell at my husband to go wash his mouth with bleach before he gets close to me lmao!!

I'm 10weeks and the only thing that stops me from feeling bad is taking a prilosec otc every morning

Exactly. It's tough when you have a job where you aren't allowed to go in sick! It was a relief for me to tell her, she had another girl come over to give me a hand and just said I wasn't feeling great but she promised not to say anything. And she didn't send me home for potentially spreading my 'illness' to the patients! ?

JLH- thanks for the advice! Today was the first day that it really got me like this. I've been feeling nauseated, but not like today- flush, clammy, and running for the restroom. I'm going to see how the week goes- but I'm thinking of telling the other hygienist, just to have some support! Everyone thinks I'm sick and is afraid of catching whatever it is I have- it's hard to go from being ready to hurl to saying "everything's fine" without some speculation.

I'm 6w5d and had to tell one of the nurses at work last night when one of my residents started vomiting and she found me in the room sitting with my head between my knees! We aren't ready to tell anyone yet either, but maybe you could confide in one person and just let them know you aren't making it public knowledge yet? This is #3 for me and this horrid pregnancy sickness blindsided me. It's so hard to function at work when everything makes you so sick :( Have you considered taking a pregnancy safe anti-nausea ?
