Thanks ladies! I will definitely buy the ovulation tests to see if I am ovulating! I'm hoping I will ovulate while still breastfeeding because I want her to wean when she is ready.

Breastfeeding seemed to stop me ovulating no matter how little she fed.... my period returned exactly one month after she self-weaned which was at 17months pp.

have now been trying for number 2 for 6months. Hope you have more luck

Breastfeeding can delay ovulation for sure... Or make u not ovulate at all. Use opks. Its like a natural birth control.

I am 9 months post partum and just got my first period back in february at 8 months post partum. Im also breastfeeding. We started ttc as soon as my cycle came back and i should have gotten my period on march 21st. Still nothing. But i think its just my cycles still not being right and me breast feeding is delaying it. You could buy ovulation tests just to check if you are ovulating. Since you can ovulate one cycle before your period comes back. If your baby is sleeping through the night with no feeds that may help your cycle come back. And baby eating solids.
